Wow, that's pretty damn hot. Can't wait to see the Chevy (although it probably will be a disappointment...hope not).

It's nice to see some brand identity, and different looking cars, but what's the over/under on how long it takes until people are complaining that one car has an advantage over another, and demand some changes mid-season, like was the case years back

I don't think it will make a difference because even now it's kind of clear one car has an advantage over the others...

Let me guess: It's not Ford, Dodge, or Toyota.

Re: The 2013 Dodge Charger
That's pretty sexy right there. IMO, if NASCAR wants more manufacturer involvement in the sport, they really need to relax the rules a bit. Honestly, I loved when Chevy and Ford would argue about the smallest advantages. Why? Because it forced each to constantly develop and innovate, and the manufacturers love this because not only are bragging rights on the line but much of the technology developed for the racetrack finds its way onto the street as well. When everyone has to conform to the same exact rules, there's nothing to be gained and everyone suffers. It's sad to see Knaus ger nailed and even though I believe he is a fool and I don't agree on some of his motives in the past, it solidifies NASCAR's ignorancy

I honestly don't get the point of these Penske drivers advertising them when they're going to be driving Fords next year.

This is a product of the wonderful world of contracts and $$$.
Heres my outlandish predictions
On the Dodge 2013 note, it will be a shame that they devloped this car for no one to drive. If no one were to pick this car, If I were a lower budget team, example Front Row. I'd take a gamble with Dodge for exactally what Cy said earlier in the thread. One Manufacture will probably have some type of advantage, from what we have seen so far, Dodge looks like it has the smartest design. So, if I were Front Row, who say that each year they are growing, I would take the gamble to jump on Dodge and possibly benifit if the Dodge has some type of Aerodynamic advantage.
My honest predictions for Dodge is that, some unexpected team will jump on them to make engines, Example, Front Row or RPM. Then whoever makes the engines, will rank in the profits from, smaller teams buying their engines. Example, Tommy Baldwin, RAB, The regime mobile, ect... If those cars have an areodynamic advantage, those teams stuggling for cash will prosper. Which, could mean less start and parks and more drivers actually racing. All of this is happening while mass amounts of Hendrick Motorsports fans rage, causing NASCAR to come up with a new design for 2015.
However, if these Dodges are complete Garbage, it WILL spell the end for Dodge in NASCAR. Which will cause NASCAR to hunt for a 4th manufacture.

You know what'd be awesome? Robby Gordon being the Dodge factory team. Would never happen but come on, name someone who is more innovative and hard working than Robby is.
