Daniel Leckliter is no stranger to upsets. He shocked the world by winning the 2016 Independent's Trophy after being written off early. Five years later, he's done it again. After some careful fuel strategy and attrition, Daniel Leckliter is now a winner in the TM Master Cup series in the Round of Wales!
The team radio after the finish was to say the least, energetic. It was a mixture of reality setting in and enough expletives to make a sailor overwhelmed. Podium celebrations was also eventful as after the celebrations were over, Leckliter was seen sitting on his top step crying tears of joy.
"What a day dude, it was well worth the wait! I know some people will write me off as a fluke, but who says I won't shock the world a third time?"
