Jek Tono Duel 1 Incident Explained By Jek Tono

In the aftermath of the ASCC Texas Qualifying and Duels, Jek Tono was involved in two separate incidents- although the second was a direct result of the first, cause and effect you might say. The first was when Tono got swept up into a wreck but the second, at first glance, seemed to be all on Tono as the crash victims were sorting things out.

Tono, a veteran war pilot, had this to say, "Being a veteran, I tend to carry good luck charms and stuff like that with me in the car when racing. I've done it for years. Apparently what happened was the can of delicious and great tasting Porkins Beans I had in the car with me became dislodged after the first wreck I got swept up in. It started rolling around my car and rolled in under my brake pedal. I thought I could hold it. I thought I was alright. I tried to pull up, and I wanted to eject, but it was too late. I tried to hit the brakes but was unable to do so. I smashed into those guys without being able to slow down. As a veteran, I hope that they will accept a veteran's apology from a veteran. It sucks because we were able to lead a few times and thought we might have something for anyone else tonight. I thought we could outright win the duel! And that's coming from a veteran so you know it's true!"
