Qualifying was split into two rounds. The first round, containing all cars, was 20 minutes in length. The second round, containing the top twenty drivers from the first round, lasted 10 minutes.

In the first round there were no incidents until Nikolas Marchankov beached his car at the end of the session. There was no damage to the car, and he will be able to retain his qualifying spot. In the second round, Jan Schmidt had an engine problem and was off the pace all session. However, the crew was able to repair the issue before the race and he will also retain his qualifying position.
