2016 Mexican GP
F1 has reached the final 3 races of the season as they head to Mexico. Here are a couple of headlines entering the Mexican GP at Circuit Hermanos Rodriguez.
Lewis vs Nico
Lewis' win in Austin closes the gap between himself and Nico to only 23 points. The possibility of Lewis taking his 4th drivers championship has become more and more doable. However, his win in Austin was more significant than just closing the gap to Nico.
Lewis Gets Number 50
With Hamilton's win in Austin, Lewis became only the 3rd driver in Formula 1 history to win 50 career Grand Prix joining Michael Schumacher and Alain Prost. Lewis is only 2 wins away from passing Prost but he still has over 40 wins until he can catch Michael. A great accomplishment in the career of Lewis Hamilton.
The Sainz Said
The hero, in my opinion, of the USGP was Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz. Carlos battled all day to hold on to a top 5 spot but he eventually lost the spot to Fernando Alonso. Carlos Sainz has had a great season in one of the Midfield teams carrying Toro Rosso. While Carlos will stay at Toro Rosso for 2017, I would give Sainz a call about a 2018 drive.

I like Vettel, but I think after he was one of the ones who kicked up the biggest fuss over Verstappen moving under breaking, it was pretty hypocritical of him to go and do exactly that thing to Ricciardo.

I don't have much to say except Sauber (Ericsson at least) may be on the verge of a points haul in the next two races with a P11 today.

Ricky on the podium now as Vettel was given a 10 second time penalty for defending under braking.
