It really isn't fair to state that PSI is the reject of the race, that's reserved for drivers who are complete tools, not drivers/teams who just have bad luck with their cars.

TBH, the reject of the race should've been the lack of spacial awareness of those leaving pit road.  Unnecessary contact much.

Mallory has engine problems in Wales.

Keegan Mallory's day ended early after engine woes caused him to slow down in front of a helpless Thomas De Bock. "we had a great run going, but of course as a driver you don't have any control over reliabilty as much as you can over other factors. Ohw ell it sucks De Bock ran into us, I guess he was racing someone and had no where to go. Anyways hopefully we'll make Indy otherwise see you in Road America."

Devereux Claims Easy Victory in Wales

Former two-time TM Master Cup series driver's champion Adrien Devereux hit back at the rest of the field in a big way by dominating the Round of Wales with relative ease, winning the pole and leading all but one lap. The Frenchman had been rather quiet during the European tour by his standards, seemingly falling off of the radar in light of performances from Alessandro Rossini, Mélanie Clévenot, Luciano Soveral and Scott Bates. Devereux's pace in practice did not indicate that he would be a podium threat, but in qualifying, he trounced the field by nearly half a second, and mimicked that feat in the race.

"This was an awesome job by all the guys on the Haas car. We had as perfect a race as possible, minimized the mistakes, controlled the pace, everything was perfect. It was nice that almost everyone used their mirrors correctly as well!" Devereux said afterwards.
"For sure, the boys in the shop made my job easier, and I'll have to repay them with dinner tonight!"

The #7 team has had some questionably slow pit stops throughout the season, and while they were not as quick as the crews of the Gessler Richter team or Volpi, Devereux was seldom challenged after the first lap. Neither of Devereux's teammates, Mélanie Clévenot or David Krikorian, had the same race pace.

"Adrien has this track figured out, I think we can safely say that." team co-owner Carl Walter said to the press.
"I think he's hoping we run every race here from now on!"

Mélanie Clévenot had another early exit from the race after mechanical gremlins eliminated the young Swiss driver for the third race in succession. Clévenot was summoned to the steward's office for parking her car in a dangerous position on the course.

"Should have been on the podium with Adrien." Clévenot said after the race.
"This is getting stupid. We had a fast car but it doesn't matter if these things keep happening."

David Krikorian's exit from the race was assured after an errant Chris Johaanes was sent into the Californian's path by Morgan Le Fay. The Clockwork Racing driver was rebuked on the broadcast by Alan Hodges.

"It's nice that we let a blatantly illegal car run out there and just take people out whenever the bloody hell it wants." Hodges said.
"At the rate we're going I might as well enter DK in every race from now on with an oversized fuel line and have him pull sh*t like that. Doesn't matter how dangerous it is, that's how Clockwork Racing operates. I wouldn't be quite as mad if they at least played by the rules."

Davenport Confronts Kuznetsov

A mid-race collision between Chris Davenport and Yevgeny Kuznetsov sparked the Californian's anger. Davenport, who had been running in the points, collided with the Russian as he was leaving the pits on lap 16, which damaged Davenport's nose, and sent Kuznetsov out of the race. It also sparked a rant over the radio from Davenport, and while most might settle with a 20th place, Davenport felt a stronger result was on offer.

After the race, Davenport parked near the Katzev pits and "saluted" the Katzev crewmen, earning himself a trip to the steward's office.

"I don't even care which of those Katzev cars I see in front of me anymore. I'm just going to take them out, because both of them drive like assholes." Davenport said.

Woodard frustrated at mid-season issues.

"I don't think our problems are over." Woodard bluntly told reporters after climbing out of his smoking car. "It seems that someone needs a good talking to over the quality of our engines. I'm not sure who's at fault here, the car was crap after first practice." Woodard, who has in the past pushed his car to certain limits, waved off rumors of driving it too hard. "Look, I don't race to see my car collapse from underneath me, why would I do it in practice?"

Macena pleased with 23rd after poor qualifying effort

Gabriel Macena in the #71 Saar Eagle for Saar do Brasil was visibly pleased when he finished the race at Wales, after finishing 23rd, 3 positions short of points. The brazilian, who most recently won the Lake Afton FARC event worked his way from the back of the field.
" We did our homework, our car is not the best, by a long shot, its and old, not updated machine, but what we did with this car, being just a rookie team in Master Cup circuit should be recognized by ourselves, because we did our best, and to be at least in Independent's Top 10 is already a blessing." After that, Macena was questioned about João Paulo Vidal's engine issues before the race.
"It's probably the car, it wasn't the best in the field when it was in its best, it won't get better now. We hope that in our next showings we can do better than that and Vidal can hopefully recover his points in Indianapolis, if we qualify, if not, there's Gravis City, Brazil and Argentina, we'll just have to wait and see."
With two races left in his IT run, Macena sits 9th with 105 points, 46 behind Independent's Trophy leader and fellow FARC diver, Ryan Matthews.
