Big wreck..... This format is disgusting...

Really stupid move by Daniel Suarez, but that's what you get with this Garbage Qualifying Format. Too many people doing too many desperate things in trying to set a fast time and instead of doing that, they cause wrecks and tear up a bunch of cars that don't deserve to be wrecked.

DNQ's = Joe Nemechek, Bobby Gerhart, Tanner Berryhill, Derrike Cope, Harrison Rhodes, Carlos Contreras & Scott Lagasse, Jr.

Dale Junior will use a past champions provisional...

This speedweeks is a budget's worst nightmare.

Slow cars are making this race look like an ARCA superspeedway race.

And the first caution finally comes out because of...a rolling tire. Also, I'm liking Kevin Harvick as a color commentator. He doesn't ramble on so much on TV, unlike someone we know...

I will say that Daniel Suarez has made an absolute fool out of himself today. The wreck in qualifying, his pit road antics, and now this make me wonder if Gibbs is beginning to have second thoughts about he guy. Very few people manage to trigger bad wrecks in the space of five hours.

I know Mike Wallace's brakes failed, but I must say, that was a very me move he pulled there...

Well brakes might have been one issue for Wallace but the radio communication gave signs that there was no communication between the spotter and drivers as well as the crew chief.

But even with a possible radio issue, you see the cars getting bigger in front of you, something might tell you...hmm might want to slow down so I don't hit somebody. Too little too late though.

More bizarre incidents this caution. Next thing you know, someone might run into a pace car/jet dryer.

And tape off Chase Elliott's car triggers a caution. Isn't that what they call a TAPE DELAY? GET IT?!

Chase Elliott was actually keeping up with as much damage as he had. Darrell Wallace took a blow too. That sucks for both of them.

Seeing a driver hurt is something you never want to see, but this should be Kyle's cue to get out of a series he has no business being in. I hope he's not too badly hurt though.

This race was really dumb. This entire weekend does not bode well for the 500. So I'm gonna try to finish the World War W sequel and repress the memories of this race.

They bypassed the in-field care center and right to Halifax Health Medical Center for Kyle. Right Leg Pain. Something tells me he will not be in the 500 tomorrow.

With a broken leg, I doubt he may even be back for the rest of the season with an injury like that.

I don't even know how to put that race into words...other than it was pure insanity. Anyway, congrats to Ryan Reed on getting his first NASCAR win. The last two ARCA races combined have been cleaner than the NASCAR races this past week

Busch has been ruled out of the 500... Right leg injury.

Alright race. Absolute scary wreck for Kyle Busch, That is pretty much as straight on as you can get it. Hope he's alright, i don't like him but i don't want to see anybody hurt.

Ryan Reed winning made that race end on happy note. Glad to see the guy get win, a very good story.

It has also just been announced that Kyle is officially out of the 500.

It is very weird that both Busch's are not going to be able to race for their own issues. I do wish Kyle a healthy recovery.

Also, damn that was a hard hit for Kyle. Hope he gets better soon - NASCAR needs to start installing SAFER barriers on the inside walls on all tracks now..

Tire barriers going in where Kyle hit. SAFERs will be installed all the way around the track after the 500.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a Kyle Busch fan at all, but this is something I never want to see, and while I don't like the guy, I do have respect for his talent behind the wheel, and this is something no driver should have to experience.

Maybe this is the wake-up call he needs to finally start focusing exclusively on Cup.

I think overall though, this whole of Speedweeks has been a complete disaster. I hate to sound dumb here if I do but I feel concerned for some stupidity that could happen tomorrow in the 500, but I hope the Cup guys will know better.

Absolutely agree with this, Suarez had 1 bad race out of 3 this week and people are already saying he sucks. (The other two he did fine in and one of which he almost won) Plus it's Daytona...Not the most technical track on the schedule.

Anyway, rumor has it Crafton might be in the 18 for tomorrow and tire barriers will be installed at Kyle's crash site and come July there will be SAFER Barriers all around the track.

And that's fine, I'm all for that, but he came off to me as being intolerant toward Cameron's opinion more than anything else, which does have a tendency to piss me off. If you disagree with an opinion, as long as you present your own opinion in a respectable manner, I have no qualms with it at all.
