Now we know why he knew he had a broken leg right away. His leg bone was jutting out of his freaking leg.

This essentially means that we won't see Kyle on track anytime this season. Despite my feelings for Kyle Busch as a person, I wish him a speedy recovery. But to reiterate, this really needs to be his cue to stop running lower-tier series he doesn't belong in.

I will say that Daniel Suarez has made an absolute fool out of himself today. The wreck in qualifying, his pit road antics, and now this make me wonder if Gibbs is beginning to have second thoughts about he guy. Very few people manage to trigger bad wrecks in the space of five hours.

Really? Really? Really. Okay, the guy had one bad day, so let's completely overlook the fact he drove very well in the ARCA and Truck races. Yeah, that seems reasonable.

Also, damn that was a hard hit for Kyle. Hope he gets better soon - NASCAR needs to start installing SAFER barriers on the inside walls on all tracks now..

I don't deny he's talented but I do think he has been rushed by JGR. He had some real speed and he was fantastic in the K&N series but I wonder if a full time Nationwide schedule was the right idea for him.

Yeah, I can't disagree with that. He did look a bit out at sea today, a year in Trucks would've been a better idea - show the same patience they're showing with Erik Jones.

If you disagree with an opinion, as long as you present your own opinion in a respectable manner, I have no qualms with it at all.

Just how I feel.

That's understandable. Honestly, I do tend to lose my cool a bit when I see someone as being unreasonable in slamming a driver like that. Sorry Cameron.

I was at work and caught a glimpse of someone Mark Martining the inside wall on the bar tv. I had no idea Daytona didn't have that wall padded. I still thought it was mostly open from the road races. Hopefully Kyle can recover quickly. And maybe this will calm him down a bit. That usually happens to drivers when they get their first injury serious enough to make them sit out.

In any case, everything seems to be building up for the 500. Montoya level shenanigans anyone?

I get the feeling that the 500 will be chill race after this absolutely nutty Speedweeks...But then again, i said today that would be what the Xfinity race was going to be.

I honestly think ARCA was the calm before the storm.

Picture of Busch's right leg just after he got out of the car. Note how far away his right foot is off-angle from his thigh.

This is also the 2nd serious injury in 3 running of this event. In 2013 Michael Annett broke his sternum in the first Big One. It's expected that it could take 5-6 months for Kyle to recover. That gives about 6 races max before the start of the Chase.
