2014 Toyota/Save Mart 350k - Sprint Cup Series

Race 16 of the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Season heads to Sonoma, California at the Infineon Raceway for the running of the Toyota/Save Mart 350. Last year, Martin Truex Jr. grabbed his 2nd career win, his first since Dover in 2007. The Race also Paulie Harraka pulling off one of the biggest fails in NASCAR, running into Alex Kennedy on pit road while the cars were going out for their Warm-up laps. Thank god he isn't returning this year.

I could give you several Nationwide examples but not a lot on the Cup side, guess it's how things are now-a-days.

Also some talentless hack in the #1 car got the pole, and some British dude is going to be happy.

Not a bad race, just caution filled. I like seeing Allmendinger up front.

There has been some good racing today at Sonoma. And McMurray takes Harvick and Bowyer out on lap 80.

But I do concur with you. Awesome racing so far.

Gordon was closing fast on Edwards near the end there, I thought he was gonna catch him. Had there been one more lap, Gordon would've surely taken the lead. Edwards was locking up his brakes like hell and that nearly cost him. That was a wacky race, but still really good nevertheless. Good win Edwards.

This is highly annoying trend for an Ambrose fan. Also, Aflac's first Cup points win since 2010 surprisingly.

There's also Glen where the only way Ambrose is losing is if he has a problem ala last year.

Unnoticed by a lot of people here, Dale Jr. FINALLY gets his first top ten AND top five at Sonoma, with a solid third place effort. If a caution would've come sooner, Edwards and Gordon would've had their hands full.

Overall, a very solid race. Strategery was all over the place as usual, and we had a great battle between Edwards and Gordon in the closing laps. Good stuff. Great weekend of racing overall.
