2014 Auto Club 400 @ Fontana - NASCAR Sprint Cup

Last week at Bristol, Carl Edwards came through the field towards the last fifth of the race and won in what was a strange ending to the race. Brad Keselowski is now the new championship leader heading to the Auto Club Speedway, where last year was arguably the best NASCAR race ever at Fontana when Logano and Hamlin were battling in the final laps, resulting those two crashing and Kyle Busch passing by to victory. Can we expect more like last year or the usual borefest at Fontana from 1997 to 2012? We'll find out.

People forget that last year was a borefest till 20 to go.

Considering how the Race went last year with that very 'entertaining' finish, maybe this Race won't be as bad as so many people always predict a California Race to be.

Someone pointed this out, that this is the first race since 1982 to not have a car sponsored by a Beer brand.

Seriously, I counted 9 subway decals on Carl's onboard cam.

So far, in the first 15 laps of this race, it's actually been pretty good.

Pleasantly surprised.

But, of course, NASCAR's official position is that it's the teams' faults for...setting up their cars too well, I guess.

I agree. Halfway through, and it's actually been pretty good. Of course, Jimmay leading does make it lose some cool points, but other than that, the racing has been damn good. Very pleasantly surprised.

And, I might get slammed for this, but, what was Cassill's team thinking on that call? This isn't Darlington or a short track; it's a superspeedway tri-oval with sweeping turns. He had no chance of winning that unless there was a massive crash off the restart.

There was literally only one driver in the entire top-10 that I absolutely did not want to win. And he won it.

Great race despite Buzzkill Busch.

That was a good race, I don't care that Kyle won, at least he won in the right series.

Larson p2, I think he's starting to pick things up.

It's the Kyle and Kyle show, Kurt Busch gets best finish of 2014, Danica actually goes a race without banging up equipment and gets a Top-15 Finish, WHAT A RACE!!!
