Kobayashi has been cleared by the race stewards in the lap 1 crash he had with Massa. The car suffered some kind of mechanical failure which will be investigated by Caterham and an FIA technical delegate.

It was an ERS failure - that screwed with his rear brakes, so he had no rear brakes on the run down to turn 1.

Sorry to bump this thread, but Red Bull Racing are now trying to fight the disqualification that robbed Daniel Ricciardo of his 2nd place finish, when his car was found to have exceeded the fuel flow limit.
