Damn Stenhouse, you couldn't at least wait until after the race to nail your girlfriend?
How was it Kenseth's fault? he was trying to avoid Brad, who suddenly slowed in front of him.

Nine Cars.
The last half of segment two was good racing, looks to be the same right as Kyle Busch spins it and saves it.

Re: 2014 Sprint Unlimited
The finish left much to be desired, but overall, this was actually a pretty good race. It was certainly a HELLUVA LOT BETTER than last year's shitfest. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come for the 500.
The reject of the race is without a doubt Ricky Stenhouse. First he ARCA brakes into Kurt Busch, and then he runs into Danica WHILE HE WAS BUSY LOOKING AT HIS GAUGES. Ricky, pay attention to what's going on in the windshield and not at your gauges.
The 2014 Sprint Unlimited gets a 7.0/10, despite all of the fail that we saw today.

Re: 2014 Sprint Unlimited
Nutsy, yet fun race. The racing is looking good for later on in the week and into next week. What the hell happen with Penske there at the end, it seems like they were setting up for a run on Hamlin but then they decided to screw around in the first turn, very weird.
Also i see Montoya has resorted to Grand Theft Auto of pace car. GOD OF FLAMESSSSSS!

That was a much better race than last year even if their were some brainfades tonight. I hope this keeps up throughout Daytona's festivities.

Re: 2014 Sprint Unlimited
Great racing. Package looks good this year.
Oh and the finish? Kyle side drafted Joey which slowed the 22. Since Brad lost Joey, he couldn't get the sucker run he wanted at the end.

Funny to see how much Ricky Stenhouse has regressed now that he isn't in championship-winning ...
... what's that, he won two Nationwide championships because the guys winning every race weren't eligible? Funny how that works out...

Result would've been a whole lot if that rule was never put in place.

Stenhouse will remain the guy who had to race Scott Speed for an ARCA championship... and had to wreck him for it to win it... Wait he screwed that up too didn't he?

I've said for a while he had the best cars when Roush was at it's finest. That's pretty much why he won those titles.Cynon wrote:Funny to see how much Ricky Stenhouse has regressed now that he isn't in championship-winning ...

Well... sort of in that Speed's car wasn't trashed enough that it stopped him from going right back out there, way off the pace, only to wreck Stenhouse in retaliation, causing both to lose.

The implications, you have discovered them.
That and the competition was... well... Elliott Sadler.
The only things he has left to convince me that he really is the reincarnation of Michael Waltrip is to start whining a little bit more, punching someone for something that was his fault (preferably with me in attendance*) and only winning on superspeedways. He's already a dopey-ass driver with amusing excuses (looking down at the dash and saying you were looking ahead) and he kinda drives like a dick anyway.
* The first NASCAR race I went to, Waltrip punched Lake Speed.

Re: 2014 Sprint Unlimited
The jet dryers, the racetrack, the pace car... I think the only thing left at Daytona that hasn't been set on fire is Lake Lloyd.
Hopefully this is a sign of what's to come for the next week (minus some drivers not knowing how to avoid accidents).
