Dash Cup makes their final stop of the season at the New York Autoring.
I'm posting this because Ben is dreaming of the Union Jack or whatever those people dream about at night.

- Spoiler:
- It's a TDR 1-2 as Delgado Makes History at New York Autoring
Tom Delgado Racing secured victory at their home track in their final Dash Cup points race, and there was history made as Tom Delgado became the first driver to win in TM Master Cup, ARLA, and now Dash Cup. After a one-handed victory lap whilst waving the American flag, Delgado immediately broke down in victory lane.
"Out of all the victories I've had in my career, this one truly means the most to me. I lost my father a few months back, and he's the reason why I'm here tonight. There was no way that I wasn't going to win this race, not with him looking down on me from the heavens. Dad, this one was for you, and I hope I've made you proud." A very emotional Delgado said as he sobbed profusely. With both the New York state flag and the American flag draped around him, Delgado dropped to his knees and wept in both grief and happiness, the happiness a feeling that had been missing from Delgado's life ever since his father passed away at the age of 63.

- Spoiler:
- Controversy looms over Championship Night race.
In what was a great night for Tom Delgado as he gets a well deserved win in his home state; for others it was a disaster, and it was evident after several drivers reactions, which in the end, caused controversy.
On track, however, it wasn't the series regulars causing the problems.
On lap 16, an incident sparked by Jack Parker involving about ten cars out of turn two turned into a thirty car incident when Ryan Griffin turned down into Robert Dorian in front of the pack, sparking off another huge crash, which notably sent Ebony Phillips flipping into the catchfence.
After also flipping over in the lap 16 accident, Tanya Carter, the points leader at the time, got out of her car, and walked to her hauler. After the race has concluded, Carter emerged again, knowing that she had lost the championship. However, instead of walking over to her crew, she allegedly walked over to the #44 pit box, where she was seen talking to him. However, after about 20 seconds of talking, she allegedly started to throw punches at Griffin, until she was pulled away by series officials.
This wasn't the only fight at the track either due to the lap 16 incident, as sources say Ben Atkins went after Jack Parker for the 2nd time this season after Parker caused a crash which took his partner Hannah Percy out of the championship fight. Atkins allegedly grabbed Parker and started yelling at him, before letting him go and walking away.
Other controversial moments on track included Barney Ward wrecking Cassie Collins with a move that could have been tracked back to his ARLA days, as well as Trey Ashby causing two crashes which have been deemed intentional by officials, and Greg Woodard causing a crash when leaders swerved out of the way to avoid Woodard when he held the middle rather than the high line.
As a result of causing severe incidents as one off drivers, Dash Cup officials have banned Ryan Griffin and Trey Ashby from making any more attempts or starts in Dash Cup, and have revoked their Dash Cup licenses. For Ryan Griffin, this is the second time he's been indefinitely suspended from a series due to bad driving at New York Autoring, as he also lost his TM Lights competitors license at the same track a year ago.
Due to the nature of this race, Dash Cup CEO Ryan Truro was quick to announce that the contract that sees New York Autoring as the series finale for the next three years had been terminated, and that the series would be more strict on one off drivers in the future, much like they were tonight.

Re: Race 16 - New York
- Spoiler:
- Ward gutted about his Race, very apologetic to Collins
Barney Ward, who is set to drive for Moretti GP in 2014, had his 2013 Season not end the way he wanted it to. First off getting caught up in the big one, as he hit the pit wall sustaining damage that would put him off the pace for the rest of his race, as his pulled down in front of Cassandra Collins on Lap 43, taking himself, her out and a few other cars too.
Ward, upset with himself and rightly too, gave a respectful interview after the crash,"Not how I wanted to end my season. We got in the big one early on and hitting the pit wall damaged my car fairly significantly and that put me off the pace, which is something I haven't been used to since joining the Series. And then that somewhat put me off my concentration which led up to Lap 43, but my spotter never told me she was going to lap me, so when it all happened I thought now I'm in trouble. So I'm deeply sorry to Collins for ruining her Race, she didn't deserve that and it certainly didn't give me the best of thoughts either going back to my Elite Series Days. Now it's something I need to put behind me, learn from it and move on."

- Spoiler:
- Griffin releases statement following controversial incident
For the 2nd time in about one year, Ryan Griffin found himself involved in a major accident at the New York Autoring. On lap 16, Griffin made contact with eventual champion Robert Dorian triggering the crash, the second such one on that lap. After the event, championship contender Tanya Carter, who was caught up in the lap 16 crash, got into a scuffle with Griffin.
Griffin was not available to make a statement following the event, but 3 days later did release the following response:
"First, I want to that I'm happy to here that Ebony [Phillips] and the fans were not severely hurt. Second, I want to apologize to all those drivers that were affected by my actions. Ms. Carter had every reason to react the way that she did. Third, I want to apologize to the Dash Cup officials and New York Autoring protomers. It was because of my actions I believe that the track didn't get it's contract renewed. I know that these words will do little to ease the memories of what happened and that my actions in the future will continue to be heavily criticized, but I still wish to apologize."
Dash Cup officials immediately revoked Griffin's Dash Cup license making them the 2nd series to do so. Last year the TM Lights officials revoked Griffin license in that series following a crash which saw driver James Davison go airborne. Griffin has stated that he will not fight the suspension.
