Woke up today to 6 inches of snow here in central Indy. Apparently we have 6 more coming too. Looks like it's shoveling time.

It's been constant snow since yesterday evening, but it's been light enough that it hasn't piled up too much yet.

Snow is about to start any minute here, and won't stop until about midday tomorrow. Unfortunately, when it's time to shovel the temperature is supposed to be in the single digits.

We're one of the only schools in our area that had class today. The others are either still on their Christmas break, or had a snow day. I'd like to know who's idea it was to not cancel our school when we got 4 inches overnight. Including me, most of the students that drive have to go through back roads, and driving on them with that much fresh snow was no fun whatsoever!flyingturns89 wrote:Rykia_RKXK wrote:JMac525 wrote:Woke up today to 6 inches of snow here in central Indy. I can't believe how bad the weather's going to be in Ohio for the next couple of days. 10 inches of snow on Sunday. There's not supposed to be any snow on Monday but the temperatures are insane. A low of -16°F with a wind chill of -45°F at night? Screw that!

Similar depths around me. I shoveled today so I wouldn't have to when there is a high of -11 tomorrow.

Yeah, do your shoveling in increments so you don't have to move it all at once. It's called "heart attack snow" for a reason.
On a side note it hit -17 in my town this morning. Nobody is really bothered that much, lol.

Re: Random Discussion Thread
For the last several weeks, the internet (Chrome and Explorer) on my desktop hasn't been working right. About a random third of the websites work fine, another random third (including EFR) still work, but are veeery slow, and the rest aren't working at all. While the ultra-slow sites are loading, it says that it's waiting for ajax.googleapis. I've looked it up, but haven't been able to find any useful information.
It's not the internet itself, though. Every smartphone and laptop in my house still gets internet just fine. It's only on the desktop that the internet won't work right.
Would anyone know what the problem is and/or how to fix it?

Re: Random Discussion Thread
Someone commented this onto one of my youtube videos in December, but I forgot about it until a notification regarding my reply showed up to it, but I'm glad it reminded me of the carelessness of people these days. Here's the comment:
'My cousin works in sports promotion in the US, & is currently trying to push the idea of ‘Blind Motorsport’. The idea is for the drivers to be blindfolded for various parts of the race (maybe alternate laps).
She reckons it would be a real test of the drivers’ skill, & various governing bodies’ members are getting behind in a big way! Obviously speed would be reduced, but there would be more entertaining crashes as well. Dunno, what does anyone else think?'
I'm not 100% sure whether it was just a troll comment or not, but if it was serious, then I can't believe the lack of thought for human life this person displayed

On my way home from the dentist this morning I stopped for gas in this little town called Chenoa and spotted something I never expected on the shelves. A 1998 Kenny Irwin diecast and a 1996 Johnny Benson diecast (that is apparently also a bank, i never noticed). These are my birthday gift to myself.

Re: Random Discussion Thread
I just realised, after being a member for over 3 years, I never properly introduced myself, or who I am. No point making a thread about it, especially after 3 years, but I think I should get out some of the basics.
For those people that will fall asleep reading this here is Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay, Boom-Lay, Boom) by Shinedown to give you something to listen to whilst reading.
My name is Josh, I'm 16 & I reside in the Western Suburbs of Sydney. If my memory serves me well, the first race/video I saw that was produced by EFR was the 2008 (yup) ARLA Elite Series opener. I joined in 2010 just before Rockford & Decatur one-offs opened (Troy Adams got taken out of his Rockford qualifying race by Mike Andrews. That's how he started up here). I ran Adams in an Australian Flag design car in 2011 because I still had a small time team, & was waiting for people to know who he was before acquiring sponsorship. I used the number 901 to try & give the car meaning (with Australia federating in 1901)
I have Aspergers (I think it's mid range. I'm not 100% sure though), hence why I have less than a sixth of BWardBoy's amount of posts (For people that don't know what Aspergers is).
The main reason I don't enter ARLA is because my mind can't think up a fictional sponsor to make up on my own, & would be running plain schemes & underfunded teams. Plus, it would be a hassle for people to paint them for no reason, since I can't paint a car, & also don't have NR2003.
Majority of the music I like is Rock, though it is varied. There are only 2 bands where I listen to multiple songs of their's on a regular basis, them being Skillet & Shinedown.
I go to a Catholic school, yet, somehow, it has pushed me further away from religion than I first went into the school.
The last thing I'll talk about in this post is when I broke my arm at age 10. Looking back at it now, I'm very damn lucky the bones in my right arm didn't stick out of my skin, & that I have no scars from the incident. I fell off a push bike after crashing into the back of my brother. I flew over the front handle bars, & as I went over them, my arm hit one of the bars & snapped/bent upon impact. I didn't notice at first because I wasn't wearing a helmet, & trying to protect my head. Ever since that accident, I have been terrified of getting back on any sought of 2 wheeled bike.
Wait, you're still reading this? Well, I think I have come a long way since joining this wonderful forum since November of 2010 (Having my driver win a TM Lights championship is proof), & I've seen a lot of changes. I hope to be here for a lot longer, as I really enjoy being part of such an awesome community.
