My first competitive race.
So yeah, in a few hours I'll be starting my first competitive go-kart race, in the form of the 24 hours of Eupen, in a team with a few mates. I'm not expecting to be any good, but I'll sure try my best

There's a go-kart mod for NR2003!?
Jut Kidding, good luck! I know those karts can become tight, even after a short race.

Re: My first competitive race.
And, well, we ended up last by a fair margin
After a bit more than 1300 laps, we were 106 laps behind. This was in hire karts, so driving wasn't that hard (though I'm having a hard time not cringing every time I move a muscle), but the other teams do that sort of stuff every week, whereas we were only doing it for the hell of it.

Good you finished, I would think doing 24 hours of Racing for me would be a hell of a lot of fun and not just really hard work.
Re: My first competitive race.
I drove a bit less than three hours myself and was sometimes quicker than those ahead, but we were already ten laps behind by that point. It was fun, but the circuit was incredibly twisty, so it was very tough physically.BWardboy88 wrote:Good you finished, I would think doing 24 hours of Racing for me would be a hell of a lot of fun and not just really hard work.

Unlucky, but finishing 24 hours is still an awesome achievement! Were you indoor? I could imagine you would be in extreme pain if you were, so tight

In all seriousness, at least you tried, and if you ever consider doing it again, you'll get better.
