Tsukari back in ARLA for Japanese races

The last time Akira Tsukari stepped into an ARLA car, she ended up doing burnouts as she was crowned the 2009 ARLA Elite Series presented by Smash Beer champion at the Rockford 200, becoming the youngest driver and the first woman to win the championship in ARLA's top division.

Since then, she has been competing on a limited basis in Dash Cup. However, two weeks before the ARLA wagon train landed in Japan, it was announced that Tsukari, 24, will drive the #98 for Kurt Walker Motorsports at Twin Ring Motegi, Hokkaido, and Suzuka.

Tsukari's latest ARLA campaign will reportedly come with significant backing from IDRA, her primary sponsor in Dash Cup and, in a smaller capacity, a longtime supporter of Nami Miura's racing career.
