- Waalwer disappointed in himself:
- The almost 23 year old Russian Rookie, Cedrik Reye, expressed his disappointment in his first qualifying run for his 2017 FARC season.
The rookie, who turns 23 on the 1st, stated that - "I just feel like I let my team down. I qualified 16th, when I could have easily done 10th."
According to Breggium Antutonnen, Waalwer's spot in 16th is not bad. There's still a good chance for an awesome result.
"I've put my trust in Cedrik this first rookie year for us and our team. I pray we make good results all year, but if not, things can and will happen." stated Antutonnen.
We'll only have to wait and see what happens for Cedrik in the 66.6 Christline Twin 100s.

- Spoiler:
Ruiz Nab Pole
Timothy Ruiz, now entering his 5th race (technically 4th, but since he made the doubleheader last year, it's 5), has snatched up the pole. Ruiz, obviously excited, said "I was not expecting to get a pole so soon." he said "I honestly thought it would be a few more races or so before getting one."
However, there was a draw back, Ruiz would proceed to say, "John Burr ain't got nothing on me." Ruiz had previously commented that Team Burr are nothing but back-markers. We'll see if he continues the trend.

New Team Impresses at Sayre With Top 20 Qualifying Effort
15 March 2017
Alex Mazzone has never set foot in a race car prior to this week, but the newcomer to the FARC Lowe Dollar Series has made a good first impression thus far by earning a 17th-place starting position for the Christline Montgomery 66 among a field of 39 cars.
The 24-year-old native of Winstonville, Mississippi took the opportunity to try his hand at stock car racing when family-friend Jeffery Russell approached the Mazzone family with an offer to help them prepare a car to enter in this week's race at Sayre Speedway in Dora, Alabama. Russell was a longtime competitor at the Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi until he was banned from competing there after it was discovered that he had been sabotaging the equipment of some of his competitors.
Despite the small group of family and friends having assembled the car on a shoestring budget out of the Mazzone's hay barn in Winstonville, the #70 Saar has already shown enough pace to earn a respectable top 20 starting position. Russell was pleased with the performance of both Mazzone and the car during qualifying, telling reporters, "He ain't done too bad for a boy who can't read." Russell also reported that Mazzone, himself, will be ready to drive his way into the lead once the race begins and "show those yanks how its done!"
Russell concluded by adding that, as this is the only scheduled appearance of the season for both Mazzone and his team, they are all hoping for the young rookie to deliver on Wednesday night and possibly earn the team enough prize money in order to travel to Rockford in October for the long-awaited return of the historic Rockford 200.
