Tbh, I don't think I'll even bother watching the 2nd duel race. I just hope the Daytona 500 isn't going to be this boring.

I must have gotten confused red and white car wise. in related news, the Duel 1 Golden Cabbage Award goes to Brian Keslowski for redefining the art of slow driving, and the Silver Screwdriver award goes to Martin Truex Junior.

(the Cabbage is won for bad or slow driving, and the Screwdriver is awarded for the driver who gets screwed over most severely in the race. both awards will be given for all cup races and select Nationwide (expect Daytona, Road America, and Montreal, among others) and Truck races (expect Mosport and Eldora at the least)

Truex lost a window and was black-flagged. Speed got bumped into an automatic qualifying spot as a result. He's in.

Actually Speed is in cause Truex was dqed. So Soeed is in.

Silver Screwdriver: Fans of plate racing (screwed out of an entertaining race, we got a 3rd Michigan race instead)

yes, I did just admit to liking most plate races, both in real life and in NR2003. sure, they are crapshoots, but they are fun to watch. let's hope the 500 turns out closer to the Unlimited then either duel.

Implying it wasn't the car making him slow.

I have to echo a few others here by saying that I expect more risks to be taken in the 500. It's a new car; a lot of these drivers were probably using the Duels as practice.

Starting lineup video is probably coming late tomorrow or early Sunday.

I saw a (very detailed) plot to sabotage Danica's car for the 500 on some NASCAR forum a few days ago. I don't think they where joking, either. They had the proper connections to get in and everything. I am not making this up, seriously.

Also thats the main reason why I will never consider joining any kind of NASCAR Forum, so many dumbasses say that they're gonna do something horrible and then they may do it.

This forum isn't just about NASCAR necessarily, I think he means an entire forum dedicated solely to NASCAR.

I am surprised that no Danica Patrick fans booed Franco after the start and finish command/ extremely unfunny cheap shot. Had Patrick not driven well enough to WIN THE FREAKING POLE, it might have been kind of funny. Instead, he just came off as a complete asshole, which we already have the Bush brothers for.

I think they've turned Daytona into the most condensed cookie cutter in the world.

I'm no Danica fan but Franco's "...and Danica" comment was ridiculous. You can't say that an IndyCar race winner, an Indy 500 podium finisher, and Daytona 500 pole sitter isn't a driver.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant to say "gentlemen, and Danica". It's pretty easy to mix words up when you're on the spot.

I think Franco meant to say "Gentlemen and Danica".

Starting lineup, albeit a little late:

Harvick will not complete the sweep, as Little Juan pays a visit.

Kes, Stewart, Kahne, and JPM also involved.

Montoya is like the next Ryan Newman when it comes to bad luck at the plate tracks.

A lot of good contenders done just 35 laps in.

Looks like Busch stepped out for some air and clipped Kahne as he was getting back into the draft. Not sure what happened with Harvick, though.

Anyone know where this is being streamed?

Looks like a bottle up started that. Harvick looks like he got loose as he checked up.
