Cynon's Indycar Thread

Post by Cynon on Mon Aug 20, 2012 10:18 pm

My ride. That is the Status GP3 livery only with actual sponsors on it.

Edited the colors on the Firestone car from earlier...

Only a matter of time before I ported this car over...

In all seriousness, you'll need a program like Photoshop or GIMP, as well as the necessary templates.

Yeah, I posted that base on here some time ago.

Here's another one.

If anyone wants to run any of these paintjobs for anything with a different number just ask me and I'll get it to you ASAP.

12 is taken by bartman97, but it can be run as 012 or 112, that's what I do in the Cup series.

Was kind of hoping you wouldn't say a 3 digit number because they look bad on IndyCars. ;[

Do what some lower end NASCAR teams do and register the car under a 3 digit number, but only use 2 digits, e.g. American-Israel is actually #249, but on the car it's #49.

Modified DeadPool's old base to fit on the new mod and then it was a matter of getting the decals together. I miss this paintjob. :\

#22 Robby Gordon 1999 Menards Livery

#32 Miller Car

#42 Umbrella Car -- TGA link here

Base: Pippa Mann's Panther Racing Indy Lights paintjob.

That base, the Robby Gordon base, the Umbrella Base (Rocketsports 2006), and four others (two of which I posted already) are available here.

The sticker on top of the camera is the ISRA Formula 5 logo I made awhile back, so they aren't.

It's the GoDaddy livery Danica had in 2010, with a few liberties taken (rear wings, second orange stripe) to make it look nicer. Not sure if I'll use it for anything.

Retro-inspired (but not in any way an exact replica) Buddy Lazier Hemelgarn Racing car. Draws inspiration from various Hemelgarn cars from 1990 and onwards.

The actual car has Lazier's helmet on it. Cool

This is the Trident GP2/GP3 livery. Intended to be more like the GP3 car.

Cliff actually beat me to it and made one. If I can get my hands on it I'll definitely put it to good use!

Here's my Season 9 ride. A note about this car; the white stripes going across the body, the engine cover, and the rear wing (not the endplates) were pulled from the exported .TGA of the default #6 car. I did clean up the stripes as they went down the nose, because they were not symmetrical and that bothered me.

I might still add a few extra decals to the front wing, but that's about it, really.

I'm running the default Will Power car for Season 9, but here's my bot Marcos Ambrose.

Got bored. Played with the Robby Gordon 1999 base. Came up with these.
