CTR to Return for 2013; Manufacturer and Driver Status Unknown

Despite having a tumultuous and somewhat lackluster season, Team CTR plans to return with two cars. With Jess Zander moving to the Dash Cup, there will be at least one open seat for the 2013 season. Canadian driver Henrietta LaVerne, who currently drives the #28 car, has not resigned, but the team has made it clear they would like to have her back.

The team also stated that, following a company-wide rebranding of all of their cars, they will switch to either Lycoia or Lenard...if Lenard comes back to the series.

Finally, the team announced a number change for both cars. The team is going to change numbers to 4 and 5.

Last Row Autosport to enter NRC in 2013.

Last Row Autosport is interested in entering a #58 and #56 in the NRC for the 2013 seasons, These teams would likely use the same crews the team used in ARLA for 2013. Nicole Moreno will drive one entry with the other cars driver being announced later.

Arrow Dynamics lodges a 2013 NRC team application

Arrow Dynamic's, who currently fields Arik Arikovski and Derivatious Tomzak has lodged an entry for 3 NRC teams. Arik Arikovski will drive one of his cars, the others are unknown. But rumors may have it that the 3rd driver could come out of left field. Tomzak will not return due to his Dash Cup commitments next season. If Arikovski wins the 2012 RROL title, Arrow Dynamics will number their cars 1, 2, and 3. Oreo has already announced that they will not return.

Farr-West, to return next season

After Winning a thriller in Quincy, Alexis Farr and Owner/Father John Farr have announced they will run a full season of NRC next year with Full funding from Colorado Nemoto Dealers. Farr has also said they will expand by one and enter a second car. Maybe as soon as Rockingham this year.

Farr stated she was sorry about the indecent with Luke Knight and said she just simply "lost it"

Terra International Motorsports 'unlikely' to return.

While the two drivers for the team have had moderate success in the RROL, it seems that the team itself will pull it's program from the upcoming NRC for logistical reasons.

"We may be a good sized team, but we are restricted to focus on our ARLA, TM Lights, and TM Master Cup operations. We wish everyone the best of luck with the NRC, but it's unlikely we will return for at least the 2013 season."

It is not known where Sarah Xavier and Daniel Foray will go, but rumor has it that they may go to smaller series until 2014 to hone their skills.

Big Mac Racing Wishes to Return

Big Mac Racing has announced its plan to return to the series with the same driver lineup but possibly not the same sponsors. Thomas Mac said, "We know we want back in with the same drivers, but we haven't confirmed our sponsorship yet, though I'm sure we'll have it. I've enjoyed participating in the series this year."

Gallagher has won two races in the series this year.

Matthews Motorsports to return in 2013; will make refreshed Aspira available to all teams if approved:
With the recent turmoil in the Matthews Motorsports family, a bit of good news has been reported: the team will again run in the re-christened NRC in 2013.

Speculation was that with Kellan Rogers off to Dash Cup full-time, the team might downsize to one car, but indications are that will not be the case. Team sources did not elaborate on driver lineup, noting that the roster is still a very fluid situation.

Finally, in response to the rumor that the Matthews M12, which will be rebadged Aspira, would be one of the five approved 2013 chassis, officials said it will be made available to any team that wished to run it should that come to fruition. The refreshed car, which will again mirror its TM Master Cup counterpart, will be unveiled sometime in January if approval does follow.

If not, the team would likely transition to either Lenard or Lycoia chassis - since both brands are under the same corporate umbrella and the team has had a long history with the manufacturer.

Newly Formed David Parker Racing to Enter NRC in 2013

Richmond, Virginia based David Parker Racing has officially stated that the team will enter the 2013 National Racing Championship (currently RROL Elite Series) season. It is believed that South Carolinian Andy Watkins will pilot the #02 Saar for the team. No primary sponsor has been announced, but a couple of secondary sponsors have already signed on, including Edge Shave Gel, Glad Food Storage Containers & Trash Bags, and the Apex Tool Group. There is a possibility of one of these sponsors becoming the primary sponsor of the car, or that one of Apex's many tool brands will come onboard to sponsor the car.

Watkins, 35, hails from Union, South Carolina. He has raced on numerous dirt tracks throughout the Southeast. He has also won twice in a regional asphalt tour, also in the Southeast.

Parker, 62, is the owner of several small tool and construction equipment stores located throughout the Richmond area.

FAC plans to keep 2 cars; retains Wilson

FAC Motorsports announced that they hope to keep both of their entries for the 2013 National Racing Championship season. The team also announced that they will retain Allison Wilson after her fifth place finish at Quincy. With Nick Azure awaiting approval for TM Lights, Wilson will move over to the #64 Right Stuf car if Azure is approved. "Allison showed at Quincy that she has potential. We're going to keep her in the series to further develop her skills" stated owner Frank Azure. Azure will stay in the 64 if his TM Lights application is rejected. If it's accepted, a replacement has not been announced.

Despite a tough weekend at Quincy, AWR is excited for the 2013 season, as well as the prospect of other teams driving under the Tuttle marque.

"We had some trouble early on and we were never able to recover from that incident," Whitt said post-race. "But hey, every once in a while you're gonna have races like that, you just gotta keep getting after it and work with what you got. I think if we run well in the final two races we could still finish in the top ten in points, so we'll see what happens."

CEO of Aleve Hopes to Enter NRC in 2013

The CEO of Aleve, Davis Kildasac hopes to enter a three car team in the NRC for 2013 with hopes of a championship in sight. The team will go under the Kildasac-Aleve Racing banner. He will obviously have Aleve backing all three cars with hopes having only drivers with a fair bit of racing experience and drivers who can represent the company well. Kildasac also stated that if the team is accepted, their manufacturer preference is Saar and they would like to run car numbers 39, 49 and 59.

(OOC: I have one of my own characters in mind as for the other two, PM me if interested. And before someone asks, yes I did make up the CEO name. :p)

They're limiting the number of chassis to five next season. Volpi probably won't be one of them, so you may have to switch.

OOC Stuff:

-I've updated the full time team chart. If you don't see your driver(s) on there, don't worry, it's not final.

-Sign-ups for Part Time slots will be available once the schedule and full time team chart are both complete.

-If your team has been confirmed, do not start painting just yet. Templates are being updated for the NRC.

End OOC.

Carbondale Weekend Cancelled, Given Season Opener Spot

The RROL Elite Series Round of Carbondale was originally supposed to be the penultimate event of the season. However, a press release was held that announced that the Carbondale weekend would be cancelled and the track would be given the season opener date. This means, as the series heads into Rockingham, eight drivers have a shot at winning the championship, which include Colin Evans through Gerald Johnson.

CTR Announces Second Driver

Team CTR announced today that its second driver for the 2013 NRC Season would be sprint car racer Dan Robinson. Robinson, a native of Delaware City, Delaware, will run the team's #5 entry, which is currently the #34 car run by Jess Zander, who is leaving for Dash Cup.

"We hope that both Henrietta [LaVerne] and Dan will be able to run the full season in the NRC. With new support from Lycoia and a better idea of how to run in this series, I expect we'll be far more competitive than last year," team owner Tom Bennett said during a brief press conference. "If Dan's ride is not approved, we hope to at least enter him part time, however as we've stated, we would prefer to keep a two-car team."

The team also announced that MHL and Subway will sponsor cars 4 and 5, respectively.

There was one caution on the first lap when one car (I forget who it was), bounced into Michael More, Jr. and James Proctor. All continued. Top 6 make it in.

EDIT: Farr wasn't supposed to be in the Q and Wilhelm was, so Zander gets in due to my mistake.

2013 NRC Templates:

http://www.mediafire.com/?3g5wk93rx6adr3s

This includes updated templates for:

-Saar Eagle
-Inglesby Flashback M-Type
-Lycoia Brute/Interceptor

It also includes the new Isanni Mancer, which Ceej created. TheMayor is working on the Tuttle Monaco and Tarheel, and those will be up as soon as he is done.

Also, I really would like it if some people would use manufacturers other than Saar and Lycoia, I have seen alot of users saying they would like to use these two. Not saying everyone by any means, but I don't want it to be a whole field filled with Saars and Lycoias Smile

Tire supplier will be Goodyear.

(OOC: I can't remember if this has already been asked, but are there going to be contigs in 2013?)

David Parker Racing Finalizes 2013 Plans

As the start of the 2013 NRC season draws closer, David Parker Racing has finalized their 2013 plans. The biggest change from the original plans is the manufacturer change from Saar to the Inglesby Flashback M-Type.

"We feel that our original plan for using the Saar wasn't going to really give us an advantage. Being a new team, we feel that we need consistency and reliability. While Saar is a great company, we know that they've had some difficulties in the recent years concerning their racing program. We are excited to be working with Inglesby, and we hope to have a great 2013 NRC season," said team owner David Parker.

Another finalized plan for the team is the main sponsor. The Apex Tool Group will come aboard as the main sponsor, with all of it's tool products serving as secondary sponsors. Also coming aboard are Edge Shave Gel and Glad Food Storage Containers & Trash Bags.

The team will field the #02 with South Carolinian Andy Watkins as the driver.

@Chives, only the series logo on the decklid. All the templates have it on them with the exception of the Tuttle templates, so anyone painting on them will need to drag the logo over from one of the other templates.

I wont need cars for a while, but when you do send them to me, please do in either .tga files or .gns.car files.

Red Wing Racing plans to enter NRC for 2013

Alex Middleton and his restaurant chain, Red Wing Restaurants, plan on entering the National Racing Championship for 2013. Their car number would like to be #17, but if it is unavailible, they will announce an alternate choice later. They will reportedly use Saars as their manufacturer and a driver has not yet been found, although they are interested in signing drivers such as Kendall Worthington, Patrick Johannson and Casey Wade. Other drivers are also in contention for the ride.
The team is currently taking driver applications.

Where is the series logo? I can put it on the Tuttle templates (God, the alliteration) and re-upload them.

You can just pull it off of one of the other templates from one of my above posts.

High-Line Racing will return to NRC in 2013; driver rumoured

High-Line Racing, preiously known as Carlisle Motors, Inc, who fielded an entry for Bradley Carlisle next year have announced their intentions to return to the NRC for 2013. However, they are not returning with the Lycoia backing they previously had; instead they will be taking a risk with the new Isanni Mancer that has arrived into the series.

"We've been talking to a few drivers" said Johnny Carlisle "and we have our eye on one driver in particular that's been racing in Italian GT, so it may just be a matter of having them put the pen to paper."

The driver they are referring to is Noemi Giordano, who has been labelled the "female star" of that series after she won the round of Monza. She has been linked to several stock car rides, but she says a career in NRC would be ideal for her.

Matthews Motorsports Development finalizes 2013 roster:
Things are finally falling into place for Matthews Motorsports Development's first run in the NRC.

The newly-formed team, which is the development arm of Matthews Motorsports, will switch from the in-house Matthews Aspira chassis it ran in 2012 to the 2013 Lycoia Brute as the Aspira was not approved for 2013 use.

The team finalized its driver lineup as well. Returning to the team is Billy Ray Smith-Thompson, who won at Salem Speedway in 2012.

"We're pleased that Billy Ray will be back with us," team boss Ryan Matthews said. "He's done a fantastic job and I'm looking forward to working with him in 2013 and beyond."

Alongside him will be 24-year-old Mississippi short-tracker Harmony Pettinger, who will take over for Kellan Rogers, who is departing to run the Dash Cup series full-time in 2013.

"Harmony's taken to these cars very well in the test sessions we've had at Hattiesburg Speedway," Matthews said. "I'm looking forward to see what she can do in race situations."

He hopes he'll be pleased with the results.

Averell, Gregory to Split M&D 86 in 2013

Originally, Jeremy Wilhelm had been signed to drive the M&D Motorsports number 86 for the 2013 NRC season. However rumors began to spread in the last few days that he had removed himself from the ride. Those rumors proved to be true, as it was announced that Jeremy Wilhelm would not pilot the 86. Taking his place, will be the driver that drove the 86 in 2012, Ryan Gregory. But he won't be alone in the ride. Tim Averell, who drove a few ASCC races this season, will split the races in the 86 in 2013. Many have suggested Averell scored the ride due to his being good friends with partial team owner Ike Durbin. Neither Durbin or Jim More has commented.

Livery and Sponsorship Details

As far as liveries go, there aren't many restrictions. You must have the series logo on the decklid, no contigs are needed. Most of the templates have it on them. I believe I forgot to put it on the Saar template, but you can just pull it from one of the others. As far as numbers go, I don't really care where you place the door numbers, as long as I can easily identify them. I would like it if you put a roof number on. Rookie stripes are not needed for rookies, but are certainly allowed.

I'm gonna go ahead and stick with Master Cup sponsorship restrictions. I personally don't care about military sponsorship, but it just makes it a little easier to follow the Master Cup sponsorship restrictions, so I'm going with that.

So yeah, cars won't be due for a while, probably some time mid March, I will try to update the TMPedia page tomorrow.

South American Stock Car Champion Fernando Matos to Drive #36 TDR Entry, TDR Defect to Inglesby
One of the last teams to announce their driver for 2013, Tom Delgado Racing announced that former South American Stockcar driver Fernando Matos will drive the #36 car. Exide is stepping aside in favor of Matos' personal sponsors.

There was another announcement. Citing decreased costs, TDR will defect to Inglesby and use the Flashback.

Leckliter Racing to go with Tuttle

It was announced that Leckliter Racing will go with the rather unknown Tuttle Monaco.

"I hate to sound like a hipster but, Lycoia is becoming too popular in NRC, actually scratch that, it's becoming too popular everywhere, and with other options in NRC that people are obviously missing out on, I went with something else." Daniel Leckliter said about the change.

"As the 2013 Master Cup and ARLA seasons are on the verge of starting, it's too late to change our manufacturers, but I don't think it would matter seeing as how most of our parts are either in-house or from our old cars rather than being Lycoia parts."

TCR to stick with 2 cars, and same drivers, new sponsors and Manufacturer though

Total Control Racing has recently made an announcement in a press conference that Greg Philips and Ryan Wade will sat with the team for at least another season. Some changes to the cars are that Philips will keep the No.38 on his door, while Wade will keep the No.65 with his car as well. The team will switch to Inglesby as their new Manufacturer and new sponsorship is in. For Greg Philips, Pizza Hut wil remain as his primary sponsor while UPS will become the secondary sponsor, while for Ryan Wade, National Guard will turn into his secondary sponsor as they make way for the new primary sponsor AMP Energy.
