Speaking of Dario, he's done boys! Tried to turn down to the inside, Sato was still there. Ryan Hunter-Reay will inherit the lead. JR Hildebrand is also done thanks to getting wrecked by EJ Viso.

Hunter Reay wins at Loudon. What a farce of a race. Just amazing officiating by Indycar. *sarcasm*

Race has been called with 5 laps to go. Ryan Hunter-Reay wins a race marred by horrible officiating.

This was great. Barnhart needs to leave and never come back. Hopefully he'll take Cotman with him.

BARNHART NEEDS TO BE OUT NOW. I can't express my true feelings without being banned. Servia took the lead before the caution came out. You can't just forget a restart happened. Servia is the winner NOT Hunter-Reay. I am so pissed off right now.

Pretty easy to do since you have Brian Barnhart running Indycar. All NASCAR needs to do is run a typical race and throw a debris yellow.

It's the IRL. The series is a joke anyway. Sad that American racing is in the state it is in, and getting worse

If American racing is that bad, then, we may as well turn our attention to F1, MotoGP, or whatever else, or watch some scum auto reallity TV.
Re: Movethatblock.com Indy 225
Barnhart said that none of their pit officials reported any problems from the drivers. Not sure what's going on there, I heard the radio, they were complaining.

I've actually been more impressed with NASCAR this season than in recent years. At least the same two guys aren't winning every single race, that's a start I suppose. It's still not perfect by any means though.
Anyway, I didn't see the IndyCar race today, but I'd like to offer my condolences to the family of that poor port-a-potty. May he rest in feces. And hopefully Brian Barnhart will be in the next one that gets taken out!

That's because they've gone the NASCAR route; cheapen the product with crap like double file restarts, attempted green-white-checkers, and officials that have been doing some of Al Unser, Jr.'s booze pre-race.
In the end, the driver who should have won ended up winning. Because the officials did the right thing (for a change) and acted as if their horrendous mistake never happened and the race did what it should have done and ended under caution. It was the best possible result.
During that final yellow, ESPN's graphics were glitching and when Servia was just putting on some power to warm his tires, etc. and scooted past Hunter-Reay, the graphics showed him as the leader for that time. So that inadvertently contributed to the Servia-should-have-won debate. Had the officials kept the running order after the restart, then yes, Servia should have won the race.

Re: Movethatblock.com Indy 225
It seems to me that people's problem are they did throw the green, whether they should have or not, and Servia did get by him. I have yet to watch the race, but this is what I've gathered.Cynon wrote:In the end, the driver who should have won ended up winning. Yeah, lets dock someone for expressing their anger after he and EVERY driver begged to the idiot officials for the race NOT to be restarted
I'm sorry, but that is pathetic.

Wth? You're worse than Barnhart!
Re: Movethatblock.com Indy 225
Sato with a penalty? No, Dario came down on him, and the debacle of a restart was nobody's fault, it was the rain and the officials.

This. If you were to race in his series, you would not be allowed to express yourself without some rediculous fine. Guess he's just following the current model of robbing drivers of their constitutional right.

Re: Movethatblock.com Indy 225
Power will most likely get 1, but if I'm Barnhart and Power flipped me off twice I still wouldn't give him one.. Had ABC/ESPN not caught this on TV (one of the few things they've shown us all year...) you would've never known so you wouldn't be penalizing him. If TV wouldn't have caught him they'd probably pull a NASCAR and secretly do it. What I'm saying is, he probably will be penalized, but I wouldn't penalize him and I don't think he should be.
Sato has no reason to be penalized (for once.)

Re: Movethatblock.com Indy 225
Will Power will probably get some sort of points/money penalty just because he got caught. I don't agree with it, but seeing as how Brian Barnhart is pretty much braindead it'll probably happen. And I don't really see how Sato did anything wrong.

Re: Movethatblock.com Indy 225
A couple of the teams are protesting the finish. The #2 Newman/Haas Racing team of Oriol Servia that finished 2nd, and the #9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing team of Scott Dixon that finished 3rd both will protest their finishing position. Members of the #28 Andretti Autosport team of Ryan Hunter-Reay that won the race have been invited to the meeting since their finishing position could be affected. Brian Barnhart, the senior official of IndyCar, has decided to select individuals to hear the protests and make a decision. The protest will take place sometime next week at Indianapolis.
