This just proves my point that they should only have military bands perform the anthem.

I predict a 2002 style finish here.

I say about 9 to go, and I don't think you'll see more than 10 involved, I'd say 8. The Big Ones are as big as they used to be because the drivers are bit better at avoiding these things.

This. Yes, there are those that know how to do it properly, but others... you just wonder why

Junior and Buescher seem to know how to hook up. Maybe something going on at the end?

Lead changes are down for this race last year, in the first 20 laps last year, there were 14 lead changes, there have only been eight this year.

I disagree. That wreck was just the product of this kind of racing because if Kurt lets off he gets rear ended.

BREAKING NEWS: In a stunning turn of events, Morgan Shepherd has called another driver an "idiot". No idea what would such foul language from the 70 year old, but reports are that he was shoved into the wall by Josh Richards.

he should know a bit better than that.

Don't mess with Morgan Shepard. The guy took down a Target robber in Las Vegas a couple years ago.

still a tough and competitive guy though, in fact he was tough enough to escape unhurt from that big wreck at Phoenix last year.

McClure took a real hard hit. Hope he ain't seriously hurt, considering how strong the Nationwde cars are today.
Re: 2012 Aaron's 312 - Nascar Nationwide Series
I have a bad feeling about Eric McClure. Hope he's okay.
Re: 2012 Aaron's 312 - Nascar Nationwide Series
You know it's strange. You see a violent flip like in yesterday's ARCA race and the guy walks away no problem, and yet you have a hit like McClure's and those are the ones that can hurt you.
As for Eric, I'm more worried about his lower limbs (leg, foot, ankle) 'cause a hit like that even though you have the HANS device and safer barrier can still injury the lower limbs.

The HANS Device is used to protect the neck from breaking in hard hits, cos' its the sort of thing that killed Dale Earnhardt Sr at Daytona in 2001. The only thing really surrounding parts of the ankle and limbs is the safety features in the car, although they aren't as particularly protective as the HANS Device in some ways.

BTW, you mad Danica?

Wow Danica!
Wrecking someone after the end of the race is bad enough, but when there's a serious possibility that someone was killed? Absolutly unacceptable.

What the hell was that Danica? Are you serious? You don't need to do that over an incident that was YOUR FAULT. She thinks that she can do that because she's not in the danger of an indycar, but drivers are still vulnerable NO MATTER WHAT CAR THEY ARE IN. Stupidest thing I've seen for a while.

While we are forgetting "cuppiewinslol"...that was a pretty good race, especially with all the backmarkers running near the front early on. Big ups to John Wes Townley on bringing that car home in the top 20.
I suspect a broken leg for McClure, so let's hope for the best for him. Hornish is getting the Danica hate for doing nothing, that was all Danica.

Pretty good race. Finish was anti-climatic.
Logano wins despite swerving all over the place all race. Cole Whitt easily proving he is the superior driver at JR Motorsports. Eric McClure having the worst wall contact in years. Joe Nemechek looking pretty good and Jefferey Earnhardt having a career run.

Hopefully nothing serious like a spinal or neck injury, but I doubt that something that serious happened. You can recover from broken bones most of the time, but a spinal or neck injury...
Re: 2012 Aaron's 312 - Nascar Nationwide Series
Those commentators went dead silence after McClure's brutal crash, it just shows that if it happened like 10 to 12 years ago and without the safer barrier, he would've perished instantly.
Re: 2012 Aaron's 312 - Nascar Nationwide Series
I also think its safe to say that Danica Patrick does not deserve a medal for her incident with Sam Hornish Jr. I know she maybe one of my favourite drivers but she should know WAY MORE BETTER THAN THAT.
Re: 2012 Aaron's 312 - Nascar Nationwide Series
I could care less about the rest of the race. But I'm praying McClure is ok.

Re: 2012 Aaron's 312 - Nascar Nationwide Series
In case you guys didn't notice, Sam Hornish clearly put Danica in the wall. If he never went across the track like he did, especially being that Danica was going 5-10 MPH faster than him, this wouldn't have been an issue. The way Danica retaliated, that's a different story. All that aside, I hope Eric McClure's doing okay.

Hornish says he had a tire going down that caused him to go up the track and into Danica, which, if true, makes her retaliation look worse than it already does.

After the fact, it does. But when they're out on the track, she doesn't know that.
Re: 2012 Aaron's 312 - Nascar Nationwide Series
The Danica incident was 100% Danica, She came down on Hornish hooked fenders and they drove each other into the wall.

Hornish did slide up enough to get hooked by Danica. But Danica really had no use being that close to those two. It looks like Both drivers were turning left, but Danica still had her foot in it while still attached to Hornishs car.
