ARLA Elite Series Race Format Empty ARLA Elite Series Race Format

Since 2011, the ARLA Elite Series has operated with a twin-race format at most events.

TWO-RACE WEEKENDS

Each round of the weekend will feature starting fields of up to 40 cars, meaning that most tracks will hold up to 80 cars.

The top half of the finishing order in each race will start round 1 of the following week, while the bottom half of the finishing order will start round 2.

Cars that did not compete in the previous week will be assigned a round at random.

For the season opener, cars will be assigned to their rounds by their order on the entry list, which is ordered by the lowest to highest car number. The first car on the list will start round 1, the second car round 2, the third car round 1, and so on.

ONE-RACE WEEKENDS

The Mini Indy 500 and Rockford 200 will consist of only one race, which people will have to qualify for.

The Mini Indy 500 will start 40 cars, and the Rockford 200 will start 22.

Nobody will be locked into the Mini Indy 500, and the drivers mathematically eligible for the the championship will be locked into the Rockford 200.

For both of these races, the entry lists will be divided into heat races, the number of which will be determined by the size of the entry list. These heat races will feed into two main qualifiers, which will then feed into the main race itself. It is known that in both the Mini Indy 500 and Rockford 200, the winners of the heats will lock themselves into the main race, but other transfer positions will be determined by the size of the entry lists and the number of heats.

The Rockford 200 will feature two B-Mains after the qualifiers, in which half-points will be awarded and the winners will be awarded the 21st and 22nd spots in the Rockford 200.

The starting fields in the race after the Mini Indy 500 will be determined by the race before, not the 500 itself.
