New teams on the horizon?
There has been word of 2 new teams forming up in preparation for the remainder of the FARC Lowe Dollar Series.
The first team confirmed is the #07 team of Peirce Motorsports. Owned by short track racer, motor, body, and chassis builder Bob Peirce, well revered for his support of the short track modified scene, Peirce plans to run 5 races during the remainder of the FARC LDS championship. The drivers for this team is Modified Stalwart John Hester, who brings Ayotto Japanese Cuisine(pretty much a Toyota anagram using an upside down Toyota logo) and Chris Valleley, who will be sponsored out of pocket by Bob Peirce's own company Peirce Performance Engineering. The team plans to run Kanakos, with Hester running the FARC Provo 120K, the ProLaps 100, and C9 Antifreeze 99, while Valelley will race the GoNav UFO 100, and the Smash Beer Oktoberfest Nationals. The hope is that they will move to full time competition in 2019
The next team is Overdrive-Harper Motorsports owned by Bryce Harper and 27 year old Max Overdrive. The team from Huntsville Alabama will run the Lacko Brakes Sweepstakes at Talladega, and the Smash Beer Oktoberfest Nationals, running a ride out of their small shop. The team will also run the remainder of the Larry Lemon Super Series, running #999 in the Super Series and the Lowe Dollar Series, with sponsorship from German clothing brand Nein Republic, which has been rumored to be run by Neo Nazis.
