Scoring a 4th place qualifying position in her first of two races for 2017 had a very promising look at what could lay ahead for the race. Unfortunately, She was involved in the very first crash on the sweeping s-bends. Though not serious damage, it would hamper her entire race; along with mechanical issues. She would be involved in the final wreck of the Lacko Brakes 150. After getting a small tap from Tristan Kristoph sent Lake careening into the wall, taking a heavy shunt into the wall, which would end the race. How she walked away is a wonder in itself. That wreck would end the race. She placed 28th. What a messy day. Hopefully her spoils at Talladega will end in good fortunes.
