ABC Supply Wisconsin 250 - Verizon IndyCar Series
Back to non-pack racing. Will Power won this race last year, a win he ended up needing for his championship, since he threw away a sure win at Sonoma a week later. Now, he needs a win to keep Juan Pablo Montoya within his sights, with just four races to go after this one.
This race will mark Scott Dixon's 250th start.
There is no entry list yet.
Also, most sessions - second practice, qualifying, and the race - will take place on Sunday. A 75-minute practice will be held on Saturday evening. Indy Lights will qualify Saturday, and race Sunday. Robin Miller has been preaching one-day schedules for ovals for the big series for a while now.

Bourdais is driving like it's 2007 again.

You missed Jimmy Vasser making a great strategy call and Bourdais proceeding to utterly crush the field in the second half of the race. He had the entire field a lap down at one point.

I'll be honest. It was a fairly decent race. It definitely had its boring points, but the battles for position and the passing we saw were fairly enjoyable.
And Seabass, holy shit, what a run. Once he got the lead in the second half, he could not be touched. Probably one of the most dominating runs I've seen in a long time. Good win, Bourdais. Well done. And a big shout out to Helio as well, finishing runner-up after starting in last.
The Wisconsin 250 @ The Milwaukee Mile gets a 5.25/10.

I think what Bourdias did once he got the lead is illegal in some part of the world, holy cow he just took off and demolished them.
Alright race otherwise.

So Alex Tagliani and Bourdais both lap the whole field in races this year. One is 41 years old while the other is 36.
Quite the year for the old farts in racing.

I didn't see the race because I was at a birthday party. Good to see we immediately got back to having someone with talent win.

Re: ABC Supply Wisconsin 250 - Verizon IndyCar Series
So, to sum up the last half of the race for Sebastien Bourdais:
- Takes the lead on lap 118 as the rest of the field pits
- Restarts from the lead on lap 141, having last pitted on lap 102 (as far as I can tell)
- Drives away from the field at a rate of about a second a lap, until the gap stabilises at around 17 seconds.
- Pits on lap 171, comes out in 13th, 10.5 seconds behind Newgarden
- Moves up to 11th, 6.5 seconds behind Newgarden by lap 176
- Passes both Montoya and Kimball on lap 178, and Chaves for 8th on lap 178
- Passes Karam for 7th on lap 179, at which point he is 4.5 seconds behind Newgarden
- Passes Munoz and Rahal on lap 180, and Dixon for 4th on lap 182, about 2 seconds behind Newgarden
- Passes Andretti on lap 186 as Newgarden pits, then passes Kanaan for the lead on lap 188
- Has a lap on the field by lap 203 as everyone else pits
- Pits for the final time on lap 212, comes out leading by 1.5 seconds from Castroneves
- Has his driving repeatedly hailed as 'impressive' by Paul Tracy of all people
- Once again, does not pit under the final caution while everyone else save Montoya and Carpenter do.
- Restart with 19 to go, Castroneves charges up to him in the first 5 laps after the restart
- Cruises back away from Castroneves in the last dozen laps
- Wins the race by 2.2 seconds
