Robby Gordon hit a spectator?
I don't feel sorry for this idiot considering he decided to run across the track.

"A spectator was hit by Robby Gordon’s Chevrolet while Gordon was battling Apdaly Lopez, the eventual race winner, during last weekend’s SCORE Baja 500.
Video of the incident is above, but be warned -- it may be disturbing to some.
There are no official reports of any injuries from the event, although unofficial reports indicate that the spectator suffered a broken leg.
The San Diego Reader adds that eight spectators were hit when a different vehicle lost control after suffering from a brake failure during the race, but that none were seriously injured.
FOX Sports has reached out to Robby Gordon’s SPEED Energy team and is waiting on more information."

Yeesh, that sound is sickening. If all he got was a broken leg, he's a lucky, lucky man.

While I'm glad that all are okay, I still don't understand why they would run across the road when they knew what was crossing. They're supposed to get out of the way of the drivers, not the drivers get out of the way of them, considering it all happened so quickly.

The same thing almost happened to Sebastian Loeb at Pikes Peak a few years ago. People need to understand that if you're going to cross the racing surface, you need to make absolutely 100% certain that you allow yourself enough time to get across before the next competitor reaches your location. I'm pretty sure that's Rally Spectating 101.

Thankfully now it's a rarity occurrence, but in Group B era and beyond...
