NASCAR at Dover!
All 3 national series are here in Dover, Delaware at the Dover International Speedway.
In Cup, last week, Carl Edwards saved enough fuel to collect his first career win with JGR. Last time we raced Dover, someone NOT named Jimmie Johnson won! His teammate Jeff Gordon won. Last year also saw a part of the track come off and pound McMurray's car

Xfinity come here for another round, but the Dash for Cash returns again, with the highest finishing of these 4 (Suarez, Smith, Bubba and Dillon) will win 100K! Last week, Austin Dillon won easily after passing Hamlin to take career win #4 in Xfinity! Last year, Kyle Busch won both races here.

The Truck series gets back going after a week off. Last time they raced, Kasey Kahne stole a victory from Erik Jones by 0.005 seconds!!! The young guns are returning, (John Hunter, Custer). Last year, Kyle won.

Well we had another indecent involving improperly attached ballast. Carl Long ran over some and damaged his car.

That wreck was mostly Mingus, came down, cause Little to hit the apron, shot him up and collected Jennings and Townley

Re: NASCAR at Dover!
Bubba wins pole, his second career Xfinity pole, while teammate Chris Buescher starts 2nd!

Re: NASCAR at Dover!
Chris Buescher wins after being a bad teammate to Bubba, who lost another certain top 5 again.
At least Kenseth didn't win.
Buescher gains more points on Ty.

So just how bad was it? I was watching the Indy Race so I didn't bother flipping over to Fox and now I see the racing-reference comments section is flipping their shit at Beuscher.

It was like in the middle, like the typical rubbing stuff but it was enough to smash up Bubba's left front.Mother of Invention wrote:So just how bad was it? Hmmm
Council of drivers, including Denny Hamlin and Dale Earnhardt Jr. meet with NASCAR.

wuh?
Law averages will come into play and the Cup race will turn out to be the worst race ever, just to balance things out.

Re: NASCAR at Dover!
There's actually a pretty good crowd at Dover today. Surprising, considering how the attendance had been falling the last few years. Of course, the racing hasn't been up to par the past few years here, so I can't say I'm surprised.
Although today's race has been... okay-ish so far. Not great, but it's been watchable.
But I am liking the battle between Hamlin and Truex.

God, Bayne sucks. He's making a case to challenge Derrike Cope for worst driver to win the Daytona 500.

Except that Derrike Cope legitimately won another race later that year at Dover. Bayne has either been wrecking or running mediocre every week.

Being low end of the roush totem pole is not helping.

Yet Biffle has been running decent, him and Ricky both got top 12's in Q, and Bayne started back in 30th....

Re: NASCAR at Dover!
Kasey Kahne is so useless......
Of course he gets a JG24 restart when it matters.
Why is Hendrick putting him in the 5 until 2020.

A 7.5/10 race for me, was alright, and it's always fun watching people complain about Johnson winning on various social medias.

Re: NASCAR at Dover!
My thoughts on the FedEx 400 @ Dover:
Groundhog day, anyone?
Third straight race that Truex has led the most laps and not won, and two of those three have been a Johnson-Harvick 1-2, including today. (sigh)
First half of this race was decent for the most part, and I really liked the battle between Truex and Hamlin, but once we got into the second half of the race and Harvick and Johnson started making their way up to the front, things went downhill in a hurry. Of course, when the caution for Kyle Busch's crash came out and Harvick and Johnson stayed out while everyone else came in, I really thought they would be sitting ducks on the restart.
God, was I stupid to think that.
And in the end, Kahne decides not to go on the last restart, and Harvick manages to snag 2nd, while Johnson scores his 10th win at Dover. Good for him on that, but the thing is... I really don't care, so... it's whatevs at this point. I'm just really disappointed in the outcome of this race, mainly because I really wanted Truex to win in his home race and break that long winless streak. Pretty obvious at this point who's gonna be battling for the championship, and it's two guys I really don't like. Go figure.
My rating for the FedEx 400 @ Dover:
Like I said before, the first half of the race was decent enough, but the second half was mostly garbage, with a very disappointing result. The best I can give this race is a 3.0/10. Some people might disagree, but that's to be expected. This is just one asshole's opinion, and it's just how I feel. Johnson winning at Dover... it's to be expected, so I'm not really mad. I'm just disappointed, because Truex had a shot yet again, and I really wanted him to win at Dover in front of his hometown crowd. Oh, well. He'll get one soon... maybe at Sonoma?
Next race is Pocono. Will we see some of the same racing we saw last year? Hopefully.

Cause he has the four most popular drivers in cup, do why wouldn't he want to keep them?

Let's face it though, Jimmie's only got those wins because Chad is pretty much the only crewcheif that has seemed to figure out that you cant pass at all with the new car and track position means everything now.
