Last time the ARCA Racing Series hit the track was at Daytona, where Grant Enfinger got the win. This week, we go to Mobile International Speedway.
This will be the 4th ever race here for ARCA. Cale Gale won the 1st in 2012, and Grant Enfinger won the next 2.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but Frank Kimmel will not be competing in this race, ending his streak of consecutive starts at 387.

Today was a rainout for ARCA, so tomorrow's schedule has been revised. As a result of the rainout, qualifying has been cancelled with the starting grid based off of last year's points.

ARCA just got off to a crazy start.

Will Kimmel with a hung throttle went over the wall in Turn 1 and into the parking lot.

Mason Mitchell went from his starting spot to 1st after 3 laps <_<

Yeah that car looks like it went through war.

Will Kimmel could have been very seriously hurt today and people are making ARCA jokes. Disgusting.

I'd just like to know why Mobile International didn't have any walls. Otherwise, I'm glad that Kimmel's okay and nobody else is hurt.

I swear i saw a ASA race on TNN at the track back in 1999 and that track has not changed.

By the way Grant Enfinger for the 2nd year in a row goes back-to-back on wins at the start of the season.

It's not necessarily the fact that there's no immediate outside wall as much as it is this specific racetrack where it's absent. A lot of outside runoff is usually lined with more appropriate barriers that protect nothing but fields or forests, but the wall the Kimmel hit is clearly hazardous with its Jersey barriers and a parking lot right behind it. And, of course, Mobile isn't very flat, and flying over the banking almost caused his to roll. Lacking walls would make more sense for flatter short tracks with no major accommodations immediately outside of it (Oxford Plains Speedway and Berlin Raceway could be examples). I agree that there should be more appropriate outside walls lining Mobile's corners.

All that aside, two wins in a row for Enfinger definitely has me excited!

ARCA has announced three penalties regarding an altercation involving crew members of the Venturini Motorsports, Josh Williams Motorsports, and Mason Mitchell Motorsports teams.

- Venturini Motorsports crew member Billy Venturini has been suspended for two races, fined $2,500, and placed on indefinite probation for repeated violations.

- Josh Williams Motorsports crew member Kevin Williams has been suspended for one race, fined $1,000, and placed on probation until the end of the 2015 season.

- Mason Mitchell Motorsports crew member Russ Mitchell has been fined $500 and placed on probation until July 1.
