Amazing how Petty's insistence on Petty Blue on the car has ended up making Petty Blue as much a part of STP as the color is to the team

I honestly forgot that red-yellow-blue Lowe's car actually ran.

If you're referring to Jimmie's 2001 car, it actually didn't. They ended up running the Power of Pride car instead.

My personal favorite Lowe's scheme is the 2002 - 2005 one. The one's from 2012 through 2014 are far too bland for my preference, but that's just me.
I think that the 2015 scheme looks pretty nice, too!

I remember in 2006 when Jimmie switched to the scheme with the black and though I strongly disliked him I had to hand it to the team, the look was awesome. I agree with Mr. Demon37 on the 2012-2014 scheme, there's something to be said about minimalism but I think the 2010-11 accomplishes that.

Here is the pictorial history of the evolution of Valvoline paint schemes in the NASCAR Cup Series.
The dates on these schemes may not be exactly accurate. Feel free to correct me on any errors in dating these cars that I may have made.

Re: Evolution of Famous NASCAR sponsors
Here's the evolution of one of my personal favorites! In terms of the color arrangements for the individual candies on the paint scheme, they have never remained identical from one year to the next, although the scheme did see some three-to-four-year periods where the differences were barely noticeable.
These do not include the dozens of paint schemes that have been run over the years for other varieties of M&M's products (with the exception of the 2015 scheme, as that is the car's primary scheme for the season).
