Round 9 - Spa
- Spoiler:
- Yes, that is Darude - Sandstorm.
- Spoiler:
- 4 cars excluded from results after incidents in the Spa GP
4 different cars have been excluded from the results of the Spa GP after a variation of controversy loomed over the event. Noemi Giordano, Greg Woodard, Jennifer Goodwin and Ben Atkins have all been disqualified as a result of their actions in or after the Spa GP.
Noemi Giordano first got into the back of Cassie Collins in the early stages of the race. Throughout the race, Giordano ran into several people, including Barney Ward, who fortunately saved it. It was determined that Giordano intentionally wrecked Collins after a practice incident, where Collins misjudged her braking point entering Bruxelles and got into the back of Giordano. Collins apologised for the incident, and was seen speaking to Giordano about the incident some time after. After the race, Collins found Giordano on track and turned her into the tire walls in turn 9. Collins will receive a probation as a result of this, but will not face exclusion.
This incident also started a pit brawl between the two crews, where it was reported that Collins' crew chief threw punches at several members of Giordano's crew. Collins' crew chief could be facing suspension as a result of this.
Greg Woodard and Ben Atkins were excluded from the event after Woodard ran into Atkins' car in the pit lane. Atkins' crew had to work on his car for some time before releasing Atkins back onto the track several laps down. Atkins then looking for Woodard on track, where it is believed Atkins was going to wreck Woodard. Unsuccessful in this, Atkins waited for Woodard on the cool down lap, and upon seeing him entering the pits, he blocked Woodard from going down the pit lane. Atkins allegedly got out of the car and walked up to Woodard's car, throwing punches at the window net, before Woodard safely drove away. Atkins and Woodard were kept separated from there on out. As pit road collisions are taken seriously in Dash Cup, and it effectively took Atkins out of the race, Woodard was excluded from the event, and Atkins was excluded as it was his third fight in Dash Cup in two years.
Jennifer Goodwin was the one who got off the worst out of any of the four, however. Goodwin was several laps down when the leaders Ashley Ambercroft and Kellan Rogers encountered her. Goodwin gave both of them a hard time getting around her, and cost Kellan Rogers several seconds of time to eventual winner Ambercroft. However, Goodwin came under fire after stuffing then-championship leader Hannah Percy and Greg Woodard into the tire barriers. Despite both cars finishing the race, this was enough to have the officials exclude Jennifer Goodwin from the event, and throw a 20 point penalty at her way, as well as being suspended from Dash Cup until the end of the season. As Goodwin was voted into the All-Star, she will be allowed to run that event.

Mossbrüger Pleased with Strong Run at Spa
Former German Supercars champion Ernst Mossbrüger made his Dash Cup debut at the Spa GP and was very satisfied with a run that was initially a 16th place. Following the disqualification of several drivers, the Nuremberg native was promoted to 14th. "I love racing at Spa. It's a great track and a great atmosphere and to do this well in my Dash Cup debut means a lot."
Mossbrüger, as well as teammates Pascal Manzon and Manfred Honecker are rumored to be attempting more one off events in Dash Cup and possibly the TM Master Cup Series in the future.
