2014 Singapore Grand Prix - F1
This weekend, Formula 1 arrives at it's more traditional night race at the Marina Bay Circuit for the Singapore Grand Prix, which hosts the 14th Race of the 2014 FIA Formula 1 World Championship Season. Last time out at Monza for the Italian GP, Lewis Hamilton hit back with a win after his teammate and Championship rival Nico Rosberg make 2 mistakes at the first chicane, costing him the win, while Williams' Felipe Massa scored his first podium with 3rd place since Spain in 2013. The gap from Rosberg to Hamilton is now 22 points heading into the race. Will the tension at Mercedes light up the darkness in Singapore? We shall soon find out this Sunday.

Is there any official word on Caterham? I heard Kobyashi might be out.
Re: 2014 Singapore Grand Prix - F1

Kobayashi is apparently getting replaced by Andrea Caldarelli (Super GT and Super Formula driver) for Suzuka.

Replacing a Japanese driver for the Japanese GP. That won't make people hate Caterham at all.

Not sure it would be as bad as you say it is, Caldarelli should have a decent following in Japan being the leader of the SuperGT.

Certainly a big surprise that Ferrari have the pace for once, considering that of course they haven't had the pace to run up at the front the whole season.

Hey look, Maldanado crashed again. How many cars has he wrecked this season now?

He's certainly costing Lotus lots of money wrecking there and back again.
Re: 2014 Singapore Grand Prix - F1
Vergne is P4 in practice 3 and ahead of Vettel.
Let that sink in.

About Maldonado, well, to be fair, the Lotus E22 is probably the worst-balanced car out there - Gary Anderson has described it as the worst racing car he's ever seen. I don't think you can place too much blame on him when he's driving the racing car equivalent of a crazed axe murderer.

Good Win Hamilton, feel sorry for Rosberg though. Also I love how Jean-Eric Vergne had a 5-second time penalty and yet still managed to finish 6th.
Re: 2014 Singapore Grand Prix - F1
I've also heard that Kevin Magnussen needed medical treatment for burns after getting too hot in the cockpit.

He also passed Michael Schumacher for second most points scored in F1 history. Only Alonso has more.
