Duckman28: Personally, I think it's pretty cool that we get to race on tracks like Circuit of the Americas, and race in front of car owners that we may have the potential to drive for in the future, and yet people continue to bitch and complain like little girls. I just don't get it, and I know my opinion might not be the most popular, but I don't give two shits. It's how I feel about the situation.

SFRush: Well, Packer's awake, but he says he has no memory of the race. Can't say I'm surprised, considering the hit he took. Fortunately, the concussion is only a mild one, but the broken leg will keep him out of a race car for at least 2 months.

RG-IDI-86: I find myself silently laughing when people are criticizing a developmental racing league that they are not a part of. Said people are also competing in a major racing series as is. They must not be happy with the series they are running if they feel the need to criticize a series that has nothing to do with them.

JOlenick I'd like to announce that in 2014, I'm going to donate the majority of my racing earnings to the National MS Society.

JOlenick I can't do the MS Walk this year due to racing commitments and the money means much less to me than the cause does

JOlenick I'd like to carry the orange and white MS colors for at least a race, but I haven't pushed the idea too far with Saar yet.

Cassandra02: @RG-IDI-86 But that's just the thing. It's meant to be a developmental series. What sort of developmental series rushes teams to run at huge venues like Long Beach and CoTA? What sort of developmental team will have the funding to race at tracks like that? @Van_Gilder_60 put it best, he simply doesn't have the funding and has to drop out because of the tracks they're going to.

Duckman28: @Cassandra02 As for the teams that are dropping out, you know what? That's their own damn fault that they didn't do the necessary research that could've potentially stretched their budget. They thought they could jump right in and go the whole schedule no problem and then they cry foul when they can't do it. Don't blame the organization, it's not their fault you didn't spend your money the right way. The fact is, the size of your budget can be important, but ultimately, it's how you use that will ultimately decide your fate. My family learned that very early in my career.

Duckman28: @Cassandra02 Their ambition landed them perhaps the best possible sponsor they could've asked for in Super Technologies, a multi-BILLION dollar company, but unlike Hanmore, Super Tech creates racing technology, including the Fujita bodykits, which according to what I heard will be supplied to the participating teams for a fraction of what they cost, and the teams will be provided with travel money for the entire season, including the trip to Kyalami. The future looks bright for everyone involved, and yet you continue to think that they won't last past next year? Despite strong evidence to the contrary? I just don't get it, but whatever. I've said my piece, and I know you're probably gonna respond with some vitriol, but that's fine, because I don't care either way. Take my rant for whatever you want. #RantModeDisengaged

Cassandra02: @Duckman28 They didn't do the necessary research? No, they did. NPCC advertised themselves as a late model league. Late models = short tracks, right? Nope. Circuit of the Americas. Long Beach. They did the research, but people simply just don't have the money. It's not about budgeting, it's about caring enough to race. They seen an opportunity to race their late models in a league merged from two short track series. And now they can't do it, because races are being added mid-season, and the track choices are getting more and more ridiculous.

Cassandra02: @Duckman28 And yes, you ARE a fucking asshole, because your family may have bled to get you into racing, but there are people STILL doing that and you're too arrogant to realise that. They will do so for the rest of their lives because they aren't as lucky as you, and they didn't get breaks like you, and they have less money than you. I know I was born into a racing family and I was VERY lucky in that way, but I've shown myself like anyone else, and I have contract offers that you could only dream of.
