http://www.racer.com/imsa/item/102817-imsa-muscle-milk-pickett-racing-exits-tudor-championship

The defending ALMS P1 champion team has announced that the team will conclude TUDOR United SportsCar Series program effective immediately.

So over/under until TUDOR collapses?

I get the feeling they're sick of how NASCAR has been handling the series... especially since they've been looking at IndyCar for some time...

So much for peace and harmony in American sports car racing.

Understandable with the way NASCAR have restricted LMP2 to the point that the DP are capable to lead lights to flag. Prototype class is not equal, biased too much in favour for the DP. Hope they can take their business to WEC instead.

Its a serious problem that they have...and its why Dyson and Level 5 are holding back until France and Atherton get this crap sorted out. If they can sort it out.

They clearly have no idea.

“I’ll be honest, I don’t know the reasons behind Muscle Milk’s decision,” Elkins said. “Everybody that I’ve talked to, the other P2 teams are very committed to what they’re doing.

“I don’t think anybody at this [stage] can point to the Adjustment of Performance between the DP and the P2 and say, ‘That’s why we’re not racing.’ I don’t think that’s the reason, honestly."

http://www.imsa.com/sites/default/files/races/entry_lists/MRLS%20Entry%20List%204-21.pdf

The Laguna entry list is out
- The Delta Wing is back
- Alex Brundle is in the Oak Car

Also the Daytona Prototypes are getting slowed down a bit to be balanced with the P2 cars, in a move that series officials say is totally not an attempt to get Muscle Milk to come back.  Suspect

Well, for me, nothing that IMSA tries right now may bring Muscle Milk back. The damage has already been done, now they can only go to the corner and cry over it.

Sorry to bring up old stuff, but I feel like everyone seems to have completely overlooked this part:

MMPR has also reduced its staff size, leaving the team's immediate future direction open. MMPR will keep its chassis, either for addition to Pickett's collection, or for possible use at a later date.

Its one thing just to leave a series but last I checked, AMR and Level 5 didn't reduce their staff when they left.

Sounds like they had deeper problems than dissatisfaction with the Balance of Performance.

Sad news.

There's no sense in crying over spilt Muscle Milk.
