2014 UNOH Battle at The Beach

What happens when you let short track drivers race on the backstretch skidpad of Daytona? As we found out last year...a display of pure comedy and craziness.

Now with a year gone by, Nascar's best up and comers/short track ringers return to the skidpad for a Tuesday night under the lights showdown. Who will win? Will there be carnage? Can someone win the race without dumping somebody for the win? Will Stefanik have to cut a bitch despite not even being in the race? We'll find out as the K&N East and Modified drivers take to the track for two fun races.

Race will be on Fox Sports 2 for those that are wondering.

I'm pleased that they changed the shape of the corners; there were too many wrecks and stack-ups in last year's race. The Modified race was pretty good, though nothing too exiting up front until the very end.

I was also rather surprised that Preece was able to hold on to a fourth place finish with that damaged wheel, even if he only had to race on it for a few laps.

Haven't seen any of the K&N race yet, I'll be watching that later.

Good races on both end. Although nothing as legendary as last year.

Sucks that Ryan Preece got wrecked by that lap car as that race all but his. Good win to Doug COBY (Bryant)

Meanwhile Suarez dominated in K&N, Good win for him and i'm glad to see a driver from outside the US looking good in the lower-tiers. Might be a championship season for him.

I know I'm incredibly late on this, but how come there was no All-American race this year?

I think their were quite a few reasons, like travel costs for the teams, the potential of destroying a car when a lot of the All-American teams are just mom and pop teams working out of their own garages at home with only a couple of cars, and the fact that they made the Modified and K&N races worth points so they needed more track time.

Kind of sucks that Kenzie Ruston was spun out while running in the top 5. She's third in points though, so I guess that makes up for it.

I can see her getting a win this year, maybe two.
