ARLA & FARCE merging at the end of 2013 Empty ARLA & FARCE merging at the end of 2013

Shortly before the green flag waved at the FABricators Body & Detailing 100 on April 19th, one of the worst-kept secrets in American motorsports was finally confirmed by ARLA and FARCE representatives; the two sanctioning bodies will merge operations at the conclusion of both of their calendars this year.

The new banner that the combined racing series will compete under in 2014 will be called FARC; Falkner Auto Racing Championships.

The rumors of a potential merger started flying when ARLA CEO Jen Walker and FARCE founder Jeff Falkner were married in a quiet ceremony during the off-season. The two met at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2010, where both ARLA and FARCE competed at the complex in the same weekend.

When asked about the reasons for the merger, Walker stated, "With the growth of both of our series, we figured sooner or later we would just end up competing for viewers and sponsors.

Falkner chimed in, "With a unified series, we will become a much more powerful force in the motorsports world."

Walker will also step down from her duties as CEO, as Falkner will take over the job, and commit to her other position as race director.

The details on which individual championships will carry over to the FARC banner are still fuzzy, but it is expected that both ARLA and FARCE's headline divisions, the ARLA Elite Series Presented By Smash Beer and the FARCE Modified Series, will remain in place.
