Because of the red flag, the 2 hour time limit is now around 10:30, not around 10:00 (all times eastern)

OK, so the red flag doesn't count, then. I thought I heard the NBC guys say it did. Oh well.

I don't watch a lot of F1, so I'm glad I asked. Learned something new!

I just don't understand why Grosjean is even allowed to drive a car. Romain Grosjean + a racecar = bull in a china shop.

I think was a combination of Perez being too aggressive and Kimi blocking.

Well, so much for that run Perez and Kimi had.

It wasn't the most exciting F1 race but still good to watch. Rosberg pretty much put on a clinic since last Thursday. I'm glad to see him pull of the win. Sutil was very impressive as well. Too bad Perez couldn't pull off a decent finish, as well as Kimi.

One down, two to go. Off to Indy!

EDIT: Also, I was very impressed by how well NBC broadcasted the race. They never went to commercial once every 5 laps like NASCAR usually does. I'm glad that they're broadcasting the F1 races and airing it live on their network channel

What's all this fuss about Mercedes being protested against? Or are Ferrari and Red Bull just bitching because they're being beaten by someone else?

Something about a private test conducted by Pirelli after Spain that Mercedes were involved in.

Yet, Ferrari had 1 before the round @ Spain.

Great race by Rosberg, probably the 1st F1 race i watched flag-to-flag in 3-4 years... Won't be the last

@Lucstar, don't know where you got that info from, Ferrari had no Pirelli test.

Situation is that Pirelli and Mercedes organised a private tyre test session across 2 (3 days due to weather), where 1000km were completed. Within regulations, Pirelli are allowed to do this. Ferrari and Red Bull are currently protesting this, but I doubt anything will go through.

Ferrari and Red Bull aren't bitching about losing the race, considering the complaint was made before the race, only after the news was revealed of the test. Of course, they are being a bit over dramatic..

Yes, but they were taking into account the race's years as an F1 race only. Mercedes won it three times before F1 existed.

Brundle's at Sky Sports F1 now, so I'm guessing that was David Croft...

Australian telecast calls it BBC

It isn't. Britain now has two F1 broadcasters: BBC, which is only doing 9 live races this year, and Monaco isn't one of them, and Sky Sports F1, which just started up last year, and where Brundle moved to so he could get some of that Murdoch coin.
Greg Rust calls it BBC because he's dumb. Only redemning quality that he hates ad breaks, you can sometimes tell in his voice that he regrets to tell the audience that the network is cutting to ad break.

Clearly NBC commentators aren't that great if they didn't mention that after Bahrain Ferrari did have a test session with Pirelli BUT they used their 2010 chassis. The test session therefore benefits Pirelli only, data regarding the car of Ferrari is all irrelevant. Mercedes on the other hand completed the 1000km using their 2013 car, which also breaks the private testing rule. Teams feel they have had an unfair advantage because that's 1000km extra they have done with their cars than the rest of the teams.

Will Buxton (NBC's pit reporter) mentioned the Ferrari test, but I don't know if he said anything about the 2010 chassis bit, because I really didn't pay that much attention.

Will Buxton's funny, not always the best man to bring up things such as this.

Also, the tyres that they tested with are set to be used at Canada, so Mercedes now have knowledge of how the new tyres work with their 2013 chassis, ahead of all the other teams...

Body is ready for more Red Bull butthurt.

I think we've reached the state that what we call RB being butthurt is just how a normal meeting works for them. Meanwhile, I would rather have seen both Caterham and Marussia do the "secret" test.

False alarm, was only a Mercedes media event. Hamilton and Stirling Moss did something with last years Mercedes and a vintage Merc.

No truer opinions could be spoken.
