Re: Red Bull abandons team orders
I get a feeling that Webber won't be at Red Bull very long.
A. He's getting closer to retirement
B. He gets treated like how Ferrari treated Barrichello.
C. I don't think he wants to be there any more. (Or at least I wouldn't)

Re: Red Bull abandons team orders
it wouldn't shock me if Luca was the stig. For one thing he appears in Top Gear Magazine a lot. Secondly, in a picture all three presenters at a table the stig appears significantly shorter than Clarkson, roughly the same height as May, and taller than Hammond. Luca Badoer is 5'9, so this would fit in perfectly. It's unlikely, but it's possible.navycook75 wrote:Riiiiight.

Thought the new Stig was actually the German woman who is known as the Queen of the Ring (Nurburgring) or something like that.Alpineopossum wrote:it wouldn't shock me if Luca was the stig. Sabine Schmidt? I'd believe it. Have you seen the clip where she tried to lap the Ring in a Transit van in under 10 minutes?

Sabine Schmidt? I'd believe it. Have you seen the clip where she tried to lap the Ring in a Transit van in under 10 minutes?
The following people have been rumored to be the new stig
- Luca Badoer, Former F1 Driver and Ferrari test driver
- Sabine Schmidt, Nürburgring specialist and co-host of D-Motor
- Tiff Niddell, former racing driver that was an occasional host on old Top Gear
- Anthony Davidson, former F1 and current Le Mans driver
- Damon Hill, 1996 Formula 1 champion
- Darren Turner, current GT driver in the WEC and ALMS for Aston Martin
- Julian Bailey, F1 driver from 1988-1991
- Russ Swift, stunt driver
- Tim Schrick, Touring car driver who like Schmidt appeared on D-Motor
It's also worth noting that a number of racing drivers have appeared on Top Gear in non-stig related segments
- Luca Badoer has occasionally appeared in Ferrari-related tests
The following touring car drivers have appeared for races
- Tom Chilton
- Mat Jackson
- Gordon Sheddon
- Matt Neal
- Anthony Reid
- Stuart Oliver, a truck racing legend
The following drivers have appeared as "stars in a reasonably priced car":
- Rubens Barrichello
- Michael Schumacher
- Lewis Hamilton
- Nigel Mansell
- Mark Webber
- Sebastian Vettel
- Jenson Button
- Damon Hill
- Kimi Räikkönën

Probably not him due to that spine injury he received in that crash at Le Mans last year. If it was Davidson, it isn't anymore.
