What did you use to render the video?

I don't think there is any problems with your graphics and smoothness. To get the video to take up the whole screen, all you need to do is mess with the render settings. If you want it to look prettier, just add a few subtle effects.

It depends what render settings you use, but generally Vegas adds a few effects as default to help the video run smoother.

Re: Fraps/ Vegas testing and help
Kinda bumping an old thread but it has a new purpose now.
So I have got Sony Vegas pro 11 (not sure who else has) and compared to Movie Maker it's like programming a nuclear launch so I'm going to need help. Once I know what I'm doing I can help you guys with videos if you don't think you'll get all of them done (I think some help was needed for ATATS video's), just don't expect them to have commentary but I may look into it, also I won't be able to do loads especially after the Easter holiday is over because I have to really study hard for the Summer exams.
The sound you hear in the background on the first clip is FRAPS recording my controller's rubbish USB connection
1. I think I've sorted the problem with the black lines at the side of the video but does it make it look to compressed?
2. Render settings, will I need them and if so which ones?
3. If I wanted to use the TV graphics similar to the TMMC/ARLA how do I put them on the video, or do I need after effects?

1. Don't know about that. Didn't notice them much.
2. I usually render as a .wmv in render settings
3. You can make a banner or use Cynon's banner generator, and in Vegas, go to Import Media. You can adjust them with the Pan/Crop feature, but they may need to be on a transparent background as I've had trouble with that.

Re: Fraps/ Vegas testing and help
I use Vegas Pro 11 at the most basic level, so I won't be of any help. I just click render as and for video I use .mp4, forget the specific one, wide screen for YouTube.

^When I would render my videos as .mp4 they would randomly get pixelated so I quit doing that.

I don't know how you get a transparent background? (I think I have this same problem with the texts and titles)Rykia_RKXK wrote:1. Don't know about that. Didn't notice them much.

When in photoshop/gimp if you have a checker grey/white background it is transparent-this can be selected when making a new image or by highlighting the background with the wand tool and deleting it. Once finished, if using Vegas 11 save it in .PNG format-this is the only normalised file format which allows a flattened transparent image.

Thanks.
(At 2:27 my controller cuts out which explains the lack of steering and acceleration.)
I was thinking of creating a thread (NR Laps thread) where we showcase circuits for nr2003 by doing of video of a fast lap and maybe some memorable moments from the track, not sure if anyone would be interested.
