You knew from Day 1 that Jr. would be on the cover for the new game.

The face of NASCAR's new video game also happens to be the face of NASCAR. But that might not be the primary reason that Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a natural choice as the cover star of NASCAR The Game: Inside Line. "Even though I drive cars for a living, it's fun to do it with a reset button," Earnhardt told USA TODAY Sports about his avid interest in video gaming. "It's definitely not foreign to me, and you can see me just as easily picking up a controller and playing. It's comfortable and something I'll be able to speak intelligently about if I was in a room full of gamers. I think it's a good fit." Earnhardt was chosen as the game's primary ambassador via an online poll that drew more than 750,000 votes through heavy promotion in social media. He will be the focus of a marketing campaign launching next month before the game's November release.(USA Today)(8-22-2012)

I care about this game. It actually has underdogs(and park garbage) in it! Very Happy

The 13, 26, 30, 34, 36, 38, 78, 83, 87, 93, 95, and 98 teams are in it! I don't really care who's on the cover...

I don't get why they'd do that, maybe codemasters is run by idiots. I don't think Dirt showdown should have been released under the Dirt name because it had nothing to do with rallying like the original colin mcrae games. I do hope there are some big improvements because Grid 1 kinda seemed like they hadn't put all their effort into it.

If I remember correctly, they had a poll saying that only 5% of the people who would play the game said they would use the cockpit view, so that's why they got rid of it. I might not be entirely correct on that, though.

Apparently the career mode is supposed to be really in depth this year, which is a big step up. In NTG11, you could only run one season with an incredibly bland set-up. Racing in career was literally no different than running the races in single player in order.

Oh, and they've got Evernham as your crew cheif. Awesome.

They are trying to get Nationwide in Trucks in the game, but licensing issues are impeding that. I hope they fix the SS AI so they won't use brakes in the tri oval and give you a 3 second lead.

They've confirmed that the random braking has been fixed. They've also stated there is zero rubber banding, and the bubble glitch online has been almost eliminated. They even posted a video of an online bump draft test to prove it.

So, yeah, things are looking up for Eutechnyx.

I miss the feel that you got from race driver 3, it would be nice if they added a sort stock hatch championship.

N'wide and Trucks wont be in the game, I don't think. I thought it had been confirmed out, but if not, I hope they can put it in the game.

Also, Career is supposed to be similar to NT2004's was. You start as a start-up team/owner, and have to work from the ground up by buying upgrades, earning sponsors, etc. Also, there are over 60 real sponsors you can use now, such as Bass Pro Shops, Diet Dew, etc. When you sign a sponsor in Career though, it has a pre-set scheme you have to use, but that's what I heard, so don't quote me on that.

Game looks good though, I can't wait til it comes out.

I miss the NT03/04 career modes. I have both for PS2, but I can never decide which to play. 03 has better AI, but 04 is more realistic with the AI anger and I don't win every RP race, making my equipment basically just as good as Hendrick in 03.

Anyway, I hope the game is like those 2.
