Rumor has it that this is Matt Kenseth's last race in the #17. Rumors are that RFR has scheduled a press conference on Monday to announce a new sponsor and number for the car.

My guess with the number for Kenesth, I would like to see 6 (bring that back to Roush), but it will probably be some sponsor related number that is nowhere close to that

From Jayski: New sponsor for Kenseth? number? Roush Fenway Racing is scheduled to make announcement at the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Monday, May 14th for an announcement regarding the new number on Matt Kenseth¹s #17 Sprint Cup Ford Fusion, as well as a new multi-year partner for RFR and Kenseth. Kenseth and team co-owner Jack Roush will be on hand for the event.(Roush Fenway Racing), NOTE: the PR doesn't say Kenseth will have a new car number but a new number on the car. And it could be a special number for the All-Star race like last season when Jimmie Johnson ran the #5 in the event.(RFR PR)(5-10-2012)

The more I read it, the number 17 will stay but the sponsor has a number in it. Because it says, "new number on the #17 Ford Fusion."

Very interesting wording by the PR guy, confusing too.

Danica being slow as all hell in practice. Her fastest lap is a second and a half slower than Kevin Harvick, the fastest in practice. Not to mention that, but she ran 49 laps in practice. Why am I not surprised?

For those who won't feel like putting up with the FOX coverage and want to listen to real racing coverage, I got a link to a radio stream of MRN. It's slightly off but it's not too bad. Mute the TV, click the link here, click below the 9.67 FM heading, click "Allow" when a pop-up asks you if you want a program to be run on your computer, and you're all set. Wink

EDIT: No caution at Darlington after 150 laps? scratch

While listening to a live stream of the MRN radio, I'm kind of surprised there's just as much commercial breaks from them as there is on TV. Also, they've been keeping updates on how Danica's doing, despite being 2 or 3 laps down but at least they're not like, "ZOMG!!!! DANICA'S DA BEST EVUR!!!!!!" Of course, they're always keeping a close eye on the racing instead of mentioning sponsors once every 5 laps. Otherwise, the radio broadcast is pretty okay.

Boring race with the exception of the beginning and parts of the ending. Was hoping this would something decent. JIMMIEWINSLOL

Only fun thing about this race was Ambrose's run...Nowhere all race till the end and make an epic pass to pick up a ton of positions.

Kind of ironic since I decided to listen to MRN instead of FOX tonight. Then again, I'm too ticked to care about what happened after the race considering one of my most hated drivers won.

It would've been nice seeing Jeff Gordon give Rick Hendrick his 200th win because of the history but considering the bad luck he's had, that's not the case.
