After a scary wreck and photo finish at Talladega with Joey Logano prevailing, we head to Darlington for the annual Nationwide race. Will we continue the recent trend of cuppiewinsLOL? Or will we see a new face in Victory Lane?

Here's one thing I don't get. Eric McClure on the entry list. I thought he was sitting out this race. Is he still racing despite his injuries he received at Talladega?

Entry lists are subject to change. And Eric's holding a press conference on Friday to announce if he's racing or not.

If it's not as serious as we think, Then i think he'll be good to go.

I have a feeling that McClure might run this week.

It's offical. McClure is not racing. Jeff Green will drive the 14, Tony Raines will be in the 10.

Kinda figured he wouldn't race.

I think Eric McClure made the right decision to not race this weekend because he wouldn't be on task because of his injuries from Talladega, even despite the fact that some people thought that he'd be out for the rest of the season.

I think Eric McClure made the right decision to not race this weekend because he wouldn't be on task because of his injuries from Talladega, even despite the fact that some people thought that he'd be out for the rest of the season.

I think people thought it was more severe since Eric McClure has been known to be quite injury-prone. (Including myself) I believe this is the third or fourth injury for McClure in his career.

.[/quote]The cars are built like tanks so there's not doubt that the car saved him for the most part.

According to NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp, series officials found a mechanical failure with McClure's brakes in deconstructing the crash.

Well that explains why the car did not scrub any speed off at all when heading towards the wall.

I doubt it he really had a choice in the matter. All of the sources I've hear report the story say he wasn't cleared to race, which suggest he was evaluated by a medical professional and wasn't given the okay to drive. Either way, I'm glad he's sitting this one out. A concussion is not something you want with you when you're driving a stock car at 170mph, especially not at Darlington.

Whether Logano apologized or not, it's a stupid move to pull. I would've just passed Sadler immediately if I had more momentum than him but since they weren't even past the start/finish line yet, he has no choice to stay behind him so the best option would pretty much be just back off a little bit and set up for a pass later on. Just my point of view.
