Hows the weather been

Around here in North Central Ohio its been really weird, when the meterolgists predict bad storms there not too bad, but when there was no rain even in the forcast, specificly Aug, 4th we got pounded with quater sized hail. Plus then when there are bad storms in the area, with the expetion of the 4th, we here in Perkins miss it by about a mile or two and then we drive through the towns that got hit and it looks like a war zone with damage. So hows the weather in other parts of the country.

Here in Long Island, we really don't have anything that bizarre. We did have a nasty heat wave about three weeks ago which made it unbearable in the house.

Mostly hot and humid until yesterday when I was actually cold and wrapped up in a blanket. Also, we've only had rain like twice in the past month or so. :-/

Almost all of July has in the 90's for us in Delaware, but but as of recently its been quite comfortable.

We've hit 42, now possibly 43 straight days of 100 degree days. It's very dry and we've been having various brush fires around our area.

Of course, I've probably all ready told you guys this...

Last month we had a day at 106 here. Luckily I was on vacation where it was a cool 103.

I know what your saying I was down visiting family in OKC a few weeks ago all 7 days I was there it was over 100. Though here in northern Nevada I don't believe we've gone over 100 at all

I think Link said it best when he said "Gee, it sure is hot around here."

I know a lot of people around the country who say the weather has been odd this year.

Here in Texas..DRY AND HOT.

its been relatively dry in CT... its sort fo a flip this year so far, July's the hot as **** month while August is the iffy

It really calmed down and the temp has dropped to 67, but the metoroligists say the temp is going to fall to 55 tonight.

80s here in Detroit.

Hot as hell and smoky due to the wildfire burning right below us in the Great Dismal Swamp. We need some rain.

Here it rained Wednesday but only for 20-30 minutes. We've been getting rain at least once every two weeks. I have noticed a lot of thunderstorms lately, we've actually had them the past 3 or 4 times that it has rained, and once when it wasn't raining at all.. As for the temperature, it has gone from mid 90s earlier this week to low 80s, but the occasional rain has made it humid most of the time.

Forecast says more rain and thunderstorms this weekend, specifically (but not limited to) Sunday. Glad the race isn't here

It's been 70 since early July.

Been dry as a bone in Ipswich since it flooded here in January. Kind of cool mornings but actually some great average weather days have been happening.

In Sydney, it was dry during the holidays. I go back to school and BAM. A very wet and slippery week. I reckon we're (Sydney) is in for a cold & wet spring. Seriously, in the time I've been around, the hottest temp recorded was 42 or 43 degrees (NOTE: glad it's been cold the last few days, getting me ready for Bathurst in 2 months time

Had about three good storms since the fourth of July...then, HOT HOT HOT. I got burnt from being outside for one hour a couple weeks ago. Heat index was up to 118 here one day...in Indiana.

In Pittsburgh, it was quite hot for al of July, storms coming and going. Very humid. It didn't get better until yesterday actually.

I think they were saying we're having like an El Nino summer or something like that.

This week the V8 supercars are in my hometown, Ipswich, it rained here this morning and became really windy after. Then after it turned to sunny for the rest of the day. According to weather forecast, light rain for both Saturday and Sunday.

The weather out here has been pretty enjoyable so far. Comfortable temperatures and lots of exciting storms, with the exception of the heat wave in july.

btw, i wouldnt listen to weathermen on any news/tv/radio station. they tend to skew the information they get. best to get your forecasts and info straight from the National Weather Service or Storm Prediction Center. at least for those of us in the US

really hot until about the last 2 weeks, its been quite comfortable

I'll be dealing with Irene as well, Though we do have a friend that has a shelter, that is Level 5 hurricane safe and bomb safe.

Yeah how bad is the damage in Norfolk?? I'm in Connecticut and I'm one of 750,000 people without power here.

The power was out here for about the last 21-23 hours.. As Irene passed last night (midnight-ish to about 1 or 2 AM), we had a max of 60-70 MPH winds and a lot of rain. With that kind of wind, we had the typical trees and tree limbs breaking, but other than that nothing major.

Here in Ohio, we got the backwinds from the Hurricane. About 20 MPH winds, gusts up to 35

Me too...small world!

Apparently according to Connecticut Light and Power my house is one of 20% of the customers in my town with power. Most of eastern Connecticut is dark according to them.

We got about 60 mph winds and rain. Last night getting home was crazy. A copule of trees down on my street but nothing serious. Luckily it didn't make a direct impact on Long Island like it said it was going to.
