His defense is justified. Mike bumped, Tony retaliated, Mike retaliated more, and Tony didn't deserve that. He doesn't deserve to be brushed off like some common house fly. In other words, he didn't deserve to be punted out of the race by Mike's daft move.

Well, Durbin shouldn't have pushed Whitmore down on the apron in the first place, especially on the first lap of the race. Both drivers were at fault, and both should've been penalized.

I agree. Just because another guy gives you a shunt doesn't mean you dump him. Here's the stuff that makes it worse.

1. He's dumping an experienced driver.
2. That driver has had an awful year.
3. It's his teammate.
4. They're teammates at maybe the biggest team in the series.
5. It's July 4 weekend.
6. IT'S THE FIRST LAP!
7. They started on the front row.
8. It's Daytona.

I think whitmore should have been suspended for the rest of the year. But that's Just me.

Not the rest of the year but more than one race would be best.

And if you don't believe Whitmore will wreck teammates, go back to the 2009 season, when he punted me AND Alan Hodges at the same time

Again, I say Durbin's defense is justified. Again, I say that Mike started this mess and Tony just got caught up in it and retaliated. Mike made it worse. Mike's punishment of a one-race suspension is justified. Team Saar USA is all about putting the team's agenda ahead of their own. Mike wasn't on the same page with Tony, they clash, and therefore, that led up to this disaster. Make no mistake that Whitmore will have learned his lesson. He deserved this ass-chewing from Peter Keyes, and that's that. People can go on and on that Tony should have been penalized. As far as I'm concerned, Tony had a good reason to retaliate. Was it the right thing? No. Of course not. Any crappy drving like that can totally ruin the team dynamics. This Derek Dudding kind of driving is not what Saar needs. Nor any team whatsoever, I don't care what league it is.

Let's not start this type of name calling, it only serves to make you look like the less intelligent one.
