The State of the VSCC
Look, I really just don't have the desire to do this anymore. I have to apologize to everyone for the terrible way in which I have run this series in the past year but I just simply don't look forward to running this series like I used to. I will try to get the second Q-Race and the double header done and posted soon... after that, though, I am not so sure. This series will definitely take 2012 off.
I'm not sure what exactly caused this, it could be the terrible year I had running this series -- it really just was not enjoyable -- but it could also be that lately it has become more of a hassle than anything at this point.
Regardless of what happens, I'd like to thank those of you who have supported me over the years (you know who you are) and to you I owe the most apology, because I know I've let you down the most; but running the series just doesn't mean the same thing to me that it used to... and I hope you can understand that.

Does this mean that the 2011 VSCC Season will be its last, along with the ASCC and the other offline leagues you run?

The ASCC is Cynon's, so for that series, no.
As for the VSCC, it is very possible, yes.
Re: The State of the VSCC
Sad to see the league go. But I guess its for the best.

I felt bad about being so far behind and providing a terrible season, but a comment like this pretty much just solidifies my decision because it lets me know that this series will not be missed by many.

Hey Woody, don't let one bad apple spoil the barrel.
I thought you did a good job overall, but I think running 2 leagues simultaneously took it's toll a bit.
Good luck and who knows, maybe the RROL will make a return once your batteries are recharged.

Re: The State of the VSCC
I'm not sure how many of you already know this, but I plan to start a new league that is in many ways a sucessor to the VSCC. It would be an entirely new series but would be in many respects similar to the 2010 RROL season. A major difference would be that would probably only operate in the United States. The schedule would be about fifteen races. Another change: the lower tier structure would not be retained. I was thinking a mix of road courses and ovals and maybe five manufactures. It would for sure have a tire war. So that's the big news. I really think that with some help I can make this work.
Re: The State of the VSCC
I believe the 'tire war' would be an issue due to one custom tire mip can only be used at a time per series folder. A fuel war, possibly, but a tire war? Not likely.
Depending on which mod is available for the league determines if I can have a Lycoia Template up if that Manufacturer is allowed.
@Woody, you tried your best, priorities come up and the gaming is a side thing. Sure, it takes commitment, but Real Life commitments are more important.
I think it was rather well done with what was available though. Don't let it get you down.

technically it was 3, if you count the VART and the VERC....SnakePlissken wrote:Hey Woody, don't let one bad apple spoil the barrel.

I stand corrected.
I had a hard time keeping it all straight and I was just a participant-- I can't imagine the frustration of running it.

Yeah, but two years ago the Master Cup allowed different tire manufacturers...you just use different decals over the front fenders. No biggie.

I'd like to see at least one series stick with the default Cup mod, but that's just me

Re: The State of the VSCC
I know I'm new to this party, but I'd be willing to join up! I cant paint cars, but I can help in the Schedule Creator. I know how to make one, plus I've been in other Offline series and sites to lewarn or thing or two, so if anyone needs help in the schedule Department, I can help.
Just need to know the number of Drivers, cause I Know Iowa is updated to 43 cars (42 opponents) and some Road Courses also fit 43.
If we go with a Cup like car, It could start in Daytona, Or if we go the Short Track Car route, maybe a start in Decouter or Martinsville. Theres many RC's for North America, but very few are created in NR2K3, so I would maybe, as advice, make this an North American series, including MExico and Canada, Since there are more available.
You could do a Oval, RC, Oval, RC, etc. So if you guys wanna chat about this new series, i'm willing to listen.

Re: The State of the VSCC
There technically is a new series in the works, but there are concerns with getting it off the ground, but it should only be one season.
And it's 'Decatur' btw, sorry, being from there really puts it on my 'irk' list if someone misspells it.
BTW, welcome to the forums, I'm the local Lycoia nut and creator.

Actually, that smell is from burning soybeans I believe, or as my grandpa puts it - 'The smell of money' at Staley Viaduct, that bridge (actually something else), goes over Norfolk Southern RR terminal and tracks.

I was a Vet on the Old Forum, so Im not really all that new (More experienced than most)
And sorry for the misspell, My bad. I meant Grand Detour, not Decatur. God im an idiot . I love the track, but AI needs work and a New Version for 2012 should be done, like the opening where the wall is where the infeild is. Jeff Gordon spun down there in a two part wreck, and got free, but it took him out. A Safer wall would off been better. Plus Night lights...and a tighter AI line. I got Ideas!

If you can send to me, I'd be happy to see it, and actually make the file if it hasent been made yet.

Re: The State of the VSCC
Rykia_RKXK and I have decided to open sign ups after the final VSCC race.
Because of the late start, if you had a 2011 VSCC Car or a 2010 RROL car, send the psd file of the scheme to me, so I can update it with the new contigs. This will make the new league start up faster.

Re: The State of the VSCC
Alright guys, I have no excuses or no updates. I'm just done. I've moved on I guess. I have realized running a league just isn't something I want to do anymore. I might stick around as just another user, but I doubt I'll be running a league again.
To those who waited on me patiently and supported me, I'm sorry about this.

I suppose it does.

This was probably the series that prompted me to join EFR. Sad to see it go.
