Rich Roy to run 2020 2021 with his own team
Rich Roy has decided to bring up his dirt racing team and promote it to FARC. Though this move is questionable, Roy has reinsured everyone that the team will fight for wins in late 2022. Roy also plans to have a 2nd car that will run R&D parts, but no one has been announced. The reasons for leaving SWH Racing has been unknown, but it is believed that Roy wasn't happy driving for someone else other than himself and management

Carolina Concord Team Looking to Return, Possibly with Some Support?

The small Carolina Concord team was able to hold itself together through the pandemic.

Going into 2021, the team has expressed the desire to expand to a two car operation.  Lawrence Allen summed it up by saying "Lukas and I just want the chance to race each other head to head, like we did all the time back home."  It is unknown who would stay in the team's 36 car and who would move to the new car if this happened, but most sources say Lawrence Allen would be more likely to keep the 36.  However, it is just as likely that the team can't scrape together the money to fund a second car, and the two share the 36 for another season.

The team is also looking for some manufacturer or technical support from a larger team.  "It's all about finding someone who is willing to take a chance.  These boys are unproven, there's no debatin' that, but some better equipment could help them reach more of their potential."  While the team has expressed it's desire to run Saar cars, like they have done throughout most of their series, they still remain open to anyone who would be willing to help.  Could this result in a manufacturer change for the team?  It's certainly not impossible.

The team could also undergo a name change.

More on these stories as they develop.

Long on the Move? Forming Own Team?

SWH Racing driver Tony Long is rumored to be leaving SWH at the end of the season due to a lack of "significant" improvements to the car.

"I feel personally that I have given this car 110%" Long said at a press conference. "We have had several opportunities to claim better results than what we show and seeing the consistent lack of performance in the races is driving me nuts."

Long has outperformed teammate Danica Holifield on several occasions including leading several laps in Sayre along with a 6th place finish at the season opener in San Antonio. Long looked to be a threat for the drivers championship at the beginning of the season but the car's lack of pace and consistent bad luck knocked Tony out of serious contention for the title.

"I will admit, we have had awful luck after the start of the season but given how we did early on, we should have been nowhere near some of those incidents" Long stated. "I was very excited about the season and finding success in the series but the car and the luck were either not going as fast as needed to give me a chance or was nonexistent."

There was a separate rumor about Tony getting in to an argument with the team owners for not being entered in to the race at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan because Tony grew up only 25 minutes from the track and went to races as a young kid. This rumor was denied by Long even though he did mention he would love to race at Berlin someday.

It is thought that if Tony Long leaves SWH, he will most likely bring his family operation to the series, Long Family Autosport, which has had success in the Hanmore AmeriCar AC-2 Series winning a drivers championship with Denmark's Dima Van Hall. If that is not possible, Long is looking at potential offers from FARC teams but he said he has had no offers come to him at the time of this writing.

SWH Racing announces Long departure

SWH Racing announced today that they have mutually decided to part ways with Tony Long, driver of the #51, at the conclusion of the 2020 season. The decision comes after recent press speculation and comment from Long himself that he has been dissatisfied with the pace of SWH's Lenards throughout the season and that he was potentially considering bringing his family-owned team to the series.

It is currently unknown who will fill the seat in 2021 and partner Danica Holifield, but it is understood that SWH have approached several Super Series drivers who are looking to make the step up to the Lowe Dollar Series.

Xavier set to return for 2021 for Ruiz-Paul Motorsports

Even though Timothy Ruiz considered of changing drivers, he decided against the idea and rehired Xavier to run the Polito's car next season. In an interview, Timothy mention that "Xavier has slightly improved since joining the team" and would be quoted saying that "He's a late bloomer." Timothy is still planning on racing TM Master Cup full time next season so Xavier will most likely fill in for next season. They hope for a full time backing for Xavier but they'll wait and see from Polito's response from the news.

Trueman Ellison's plans for 2021 include movie, possible team expansion, alliance with other teams

A very solid season for Trueman Ellison Motorsports has seen the team achieve their 3rd win in history with Mark, and a berth as a bonafide victory and championship contendership team.

Due to the complete loss of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic that swept across the planet, forcing multiple championships to be cancelled, Ellison is hungry for competition like he has never been before.

"Yes we like to have car fast and we like to have Oscar, I am doing movie, it's very good movie, it's movie about fast car that talks and has David Hakelkoff" - when asked if his movie about a "talking car" would feature actor and singer David Hasselhoff, Trueman Ellison got offended, cursed the reporter and sicked two men in black suits to carry our reporter away.

After 20 minutes out reporter came back, with some blood on his face, small protusions on the back of his head and slight drooling, but carried on the interview anyway, asking Trueman about what the future entails for his team: "I like car, car is good, car is fast, Mark is very loyal man, very good [REDACTED] and he will always be a very goodd [REDACTED]".

When asked if his plans involve running with the #03 team in 2021, Mark, wearing a yellow hazard suit said plainly "yes."

A championship opportunity for long time road ringers may mean a transfer to oval racing

After a few years of part-time efforts in FARC, resulting in 2 victories, Ashcroft Family Racing, long time AmeriCar Championshoip Road Racing team may be looking towards a complete season assault into FARC with Patrick Ashcroft, the youngest of five of the Ashcroft kids fathered by road racing legend Thomas, which also include Kelly, Julia, Katelyn and Frank.

While Kelly is focused in northeastern late model racing, Julia is staying within AmeriCar, Katelyn and Frank deal with the day-to-day operations of the team, alongside cousins Michael and Ellie, son and daughter of Thomas' brother Jack Ashcroft, which also has FARC starts of his own.

According to them, Patrick will stay in FARC as he has been adapting slowly to oval racing and insofar, there is no plans of altering the status quo of the team, as a new sponsorship deal with FlixBean, which will see a group of exclusive movies and shows from the on-demand video service to appear in the car, which could be renumbered to #9 for 2021.

Accelerator Motorsports to return with Kelly Splison in the 41 in LDS, Bakerman to go to Super Series to hone skills

Kelly Splison, who seems to never get better rides in other series, is returning to the 41 for a possible full time or part time ride. Lycoia is returning to the team as well. She'll be the only driver for the team in the Lowe Dollar Series.

MJ Bakerman, who smoked more engines than jo- I mean had massive mechanical issues during 2019, will be placed in the Super Series to hone her skills and to stop the fiscal sinkhole that she seems to be creating with her smoking engines left and right.

Armand Dilpare buys Freya and Saito to become Dilpare Inc., Theodor expected to return and run the full schedule

It was announced at the end of the 2019 season that Marcus Freya and Nokamaru Saito have sold their FARC shop to focus on TM Lights. They sold their FARC shop to former TM Master Cup Series team owner-driver, Armand Dilpare. Dilpare had been a major player in the transmission industry who last competed in Master Cup in 2003. He came out of motorsport hibernation in 2017 to develop the racing skills of Phyllis Theodor whose father Phil was great friends with Dilpare helping eachother out during their time in Master Cup.

Phyllis Theodor's tenure at Dilpare has been an uphill climb for from finishing dead last in Super Series points in 2017 to scoring 2 wins en route to 7th in points in 2018. Theodor has enjoyed moderate success in 2019 with a pole at Berlin to her name as well as finishes as high as 2nd at Karl's Superstore. With the 2020 season aborted due to the pandemic, Dilpare and Theodor intend on running the full season in the Lowe Dollar Series while also serving as a relief driver for the F&S team's TM Lights campaign. The team will retain the team's flagship #74 and Dilpare Transmissions sponsorship, but will switch to Saar for 2021.

ALFRED JONES MOVING TO ANDY PEARSON #2 FULL TIME

Jon Dilks, while speaking to media for about TM Master Cup, was asked about a rumor that Jones was moving to FARC Lowe Dollar in 2021.

"Yes, but not in a car we build." He said, "He's going to the #2. He's got the talent and the kid is gonna be good. If they can get the right equipment under him, he's a contender for the '21 Trophy."

Dilks was then asked what happens to the 68 in the Larry Lemon series. "We might try and develop a new talent if we can find one. We have a few possibilities in mind, we just have to talk to the right people and get the right backing. We want a female in the car to help add to things, but we're unsure of her plans, or if Stock Cars is even a goal." He said, not naming the prospect, "We'll talk to them more here soon." He said, as he then asked about a sponsorship, "If Cotnam is interested, I'm happy to take them. HORNET Energy has been good to us, but they might want to follow Jones. I don't know. Time will tell."

DVR to run a 2 car team in FARC for 2021

For the first time since 2017 Daniel Voyles Racing will make it return to the FARC Lowe Dollar Series this time expanding to a 2 car team with one of them running the full time schedule in 2021 while the 2nd entry will be doing a limited schedule. “I’m excited for DVR to return to FARC next year with 2 cars” Voyles said to the media. “The team did very decent back in 2017 when I drove in 5 races and I think there’s still some room to be improve on before the 2021 season gets here.” Jennifer Power from Auckland New Zealand is going to run the full schedule while Voyles and Thomas will share the 2nd entry in select events with Delano sponsoring power and Fernando’s chicken sponsoring the part time car.

2021 FARC Silly Season thread Empty Uncertain Future Surrounds Carolina Concord Team

Post by Carolina Crew Sun Nov 01, 2020 9:51 pm

After a rough opening season in 2019, coupled with the Covid pandemic of 2021, the Carolina Concord team faces an uncertain future heading into the 2021 season.

Team owner Dominic Allen put it best when he said "We just don't have the money some of those other guys have.  We aren't gonna be able to bring more than 1 car, and right now I have my doubts as to if we can even do that.  Hell, if it wasn't for Fabian, who knows where we would be right now."

Fabian has been running open wheel races in Europe over the past couple of years.  He has even attempted the Karjala GP before.  Fabain also won an open wheel race in Barcelona over the summer, raking in crucial prize money for the team.

However, the Allen family still bring the majority of the teams sponsorship, so the question arises.  Who will get a greater share of the races if the team is able to return to Farc in 2021?

In 2019, the team's luck was under the radar atrocious.  This was said because the team's luck included Allen blowing an engine from the top 10 in San Antonio, Lukas Fabian being drilled into the wall by Enola while in the top 15, and Fabian being involved in multiple accidents in Salem (none of which he started) and eventually fell out of the race.  When asked about all his wrecked race cars, Allen pardoned his drivers, admitting that none of their incidents have been their fault.  "We are a small team, so people don't notice or care when we wreck."

There were rumors that the Carolina Concord Team would defect to the ASCC, as Lawrence Allen seems to endorse the idea.  However, Fabian shut those talks down after winning in Europe and brining back the prize money.

When asked why he is opposed to racing in the ASCC, Fabian had this to say "I grew up on road courses, and they don't run any of those.  Also, I have German citizenship and my family is German, I know exactly how I'd be treated over there."

This team is very low on resources, and a potential dispute from within the team leads many within the organization itself to wonder if this team will even get off the ground, let alone make it through the entirety of 2021.

Dominic Allen stated "Hell, if any team was willing to lend us a hand I would be more than grateful, but who knows if that will ever happen."

Absolute turnaround for Ashcroft Family Racing as lineup gets shuffled

In a shocking announcement, Ashcroft Family Racing published over social media that the team will contest three different series in 2020: FARC, ASCC and AmeriCar. But that's not all.

The New York outfit will bring back to FARC two-time race winner Gabriel Macena to the series after 6 years. Macena will drive the #9 C9 Antifreeze Lenard, which is a trademark for the team outside of FARC.

While in a fantastic season, Patrick Ashcroft has decided to run the ASCC East Series, with some secondary FARC/AmeriCar bodies Ashcroft Family Racing refurbished as the Macena owned AmeriCar team has closed during the pandemic.

Patrick will contest multiple events across the FARC season while making an spirited assault at the ASCC East Championship, while Macena intends to contest the FARC Lowe Dollar Championship full-time in 2021.

Mason Aiming for Full-Time Lowe Dollar Ride, Backed by Controversial Funding
After a strong rookie showing in the Larry Lemon Super Series in 2019, and several local late model wins during the pandemic-disrupted 2020 racing season, 19-year old Samantha Mason is planning on taking her career to the next level, as she seeks a full-time ride in the FARC Lowe Dollar Series for 2021. While her on-track performance has attracted the attention of eyes in the FARC garage, there have also been concerns and controversy over her financial backing, which reportedly brings considerable funding but is somewhat unprecedented in the series.

Mason explains: "We were having trouble finding sponsors even before the pandemic, and I could only get so much from my day job and savings, so I started thinking about different ways to get the money I need to go racing. And I'm a little into modeling and fashion and photography in my free time, and I'd had a lot of support from my friends and fans from just when I'm posting on my Insta. I heard about this site SimPlease where you can charge your fans for photos and videos and stuff, and I realized maybe I could get some extra income from that. And it's worked out really well for that!"

Mason created an account on the subscription service website SimPlease.com to share exclusive photos and videos, bringing in a large following of adult fans. While many account holders use their SimPlease pages to produce explicit adult content, our investigative journalism has indicated that Mason's content consists of non-explicit modelling and fashion content that is suggestive at most. Regardless, some racing fans, owners, and other personalities have reacted negatively, accusing Mason of creating "smut" and not devoting enough attention to her racing career, and protesting when SimPlease logos began appearing on her late model in 2020.

"I've heard all the complaints and seen what people think of my side hustle, and I think it's ridiculous how much they get worked up over it. I don't think they were complaining when Leslie [Riggs] was in B Magazine, and FARC had no problem with it being on her car. I'm not doing anything different from her as far as what I'm posting. And the men who say I should stick to racing, I'm already at the track or in the shop 5 or 6 days a week! I'm only doing these shoots on my few days off and to help pay the bills. Gotta do something to get my bag when there's a pandemic out there, and if they have a problem with that, maybe we can work together to find a way to make short track racing affordable again."

Reports suggest that Mason has been actively engaged with several team owners to try to reach an agreement for the 2021 FARC season, but also has a backup plan if she is unable to reach an agreement. She has remained in contact with Scott and Son Racing, who backed her at the end of the 2019 Super Series season after she was abruptly released by Icon Racing.

Pushanda interested in returning to FARC

Indian-born driver Vijay Pushanda has apparently expressed interest in returning to FARC after an absence of 11 years. The West Bengali racing driver last competed in the series back in 2012, and while he was rather quick in the Math Motors car, he is most known for his great display of automotive gymnastics at the ill-fated, first running of the Radii Radiators 300, in which he cartwheeled off of turn 4 in mid-air, but most importantly, stuck the landing.

Since his time in what was then known as the ARLA Elite Series, Pushanda raced in the TM Master Cup Series occasionally and was known for his marginal talent and a rather large bank account. However, Pushanda feels that "he can silence his critics with a promising full-time FARC ride in 2021."

Pushanda is also a former Formula A winner at the United States Grand Prix where Pushanda essentially lucked into the victory when a derecho hit in the middle of the Grand Prix, wiping out over half the field.

Pushanda doesn't have a ride as of yet. However, his vast supply of... erm... talent, might help him.

The plan was in 2021 that Roy INC run with the sponsor Roy Inc., the construction company. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the construction kind has been overrun with Zombies shut down. WSN will be sponsoring half of the races, but it is unclear who will for the rest of them.

Roy Sells Team to Nigerian Investors, Name Champ Car Driver
Rich Roy has recently announced he's not driving in FARC on 2021 as planned to the financial burdens. It was announced that a group of investors from Nigeria had bought the team. An unnamed representative announced a surprise prospect to drive the 29, Jabe Gackson. Gackson has one top 10 finish in two seasons with one of the best cars at his disposal. It is unknown why he was hired, but they highly recommend that no questions are asked.

Big Mac Racing Likely to Return With Same Lineup

Despite an up and down year, Big Mac Racing doesn’t seem to be making many changes to their current lineup and approach to the 2021 FARC season. Owner Thomas Mac says, “Gallagher had some rotten luck at the beginning of the year, and some of her car setups have been great. She’s a wonderful talent, and we are dedicated to giving her the best equipment possible next season if our entry come through again.” Sponsorship is not known yet, but supposedly Mac and Gallagher have secured a primary already.

Pierce-Forest Racing Plans Fulltime bid
After running the last season on a partial basis due to funding issues, RFR plans run the full schedule if possible with Rick Forest in the #60.

The pandemic hasn't been too kind to the small team from Minnesota, who after their win in the 2017 season opener has been struggling to tread water. But with a new injection of cash from primary sponsor Spark Energy Drinks, who will promote their new TIGER High Octane Energy Booster has seen the teams fortunes turn a corner.

In the offseason, 3 new cars have been built by the team, hoping to bank off of the organizations vast late model experience and lessons learned from past FARC efforts to improve their racing program. When asked about their involvement in the series Rick stated," We are going to be here for a while. While things may not have gone the best the past few years, the consistency of our finishes show we have what it takes to hold with the best of them.

Ryan Forest is also expected to return in the second car, splitting the time in the second car with younger nephew Dominic. This car is also being rebranded, as Spark Energy Drinks will supply full funding for the team in it's planned starts.

The team will be rebranded TIGER Pierce-Forest Racing, while Pontiac Casino's and Bob Pierce Chassis Works will continues on as associates

KAT Motorsports will not run at all in 2021 amid financial hit due to pandemic

After a down year in 2019 and the cancellation of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, KAT Motorsports has remained extremely quiet about the team's status heading into 2021.  The team hasn't made a single statement regarding it's future, leading many to wonder whether or not the championship winning team would even show up to start the next season.  They finally got an answer when owner Kathryn Azure announced today that KAT Motorsports will not be running in the FARC Lowe Dollar Series or anywhere else in 2021.  This is a result of the financial strain on the team caused directly by the pandemic.

The team was founded in 2015 as an extension of FAC Motorsports, owned by Azure's husband Frank Azure, for talent development. However, after that season, FAC cut ties with the team and has been independent from that point on.  They found success immediately afterwards after they hired current TM Master Cup Series driver Chuck Johnson and won the 2016 FARC Lowe Dollar Series championship.  After 3 successful seasons with Johnson, 2019 was a struggle with California-based driver/entrepreneur Mike Malone driving the #46 car after Johnson left for Master Cup.  Questions about KATM's future after the 2020 season's cancellation began after Malone announced he was retiring from driving to focus on ownership of his own team.  Malone's restaurant chain, Knuckle's Sandwiches, was a major part of the team's funding last season when it came to the Lowe Dollar Series.  What didn't help was that many of their remaining sponsors across all series' bailed due to the strain on the economy caused by the pandemic.

"It is with deep regret that we have to announce that KAT Motorsports will be unable to compete in the FARC Lowe Dollar Series or anywhere else in 2021" Azure said in the statement released today.  "We already knew before the pandemic, even before the end of the last season that Mike (Malone) was leaning towards stepping down from driving to focus on running his own team.  We did have plans in place, but the pandemic threw a monkey wrench in those plans.  Almost all of our sponsors either scaled back or bailed out entirely.  We tried to scramble towards the end of 2020 to get something together for 2021, but in the end, we realized that with the funding we had left, we would not be able run any of our team's at a competitive level.  So we made the ultimate decision to suspend operations for the time being.  We hope that things improve enough that we can return to track with the same level of competitiveness that I know this team is capable of delivering."

KAT Motorsports fielded cars in FARC's Lowe Dollar Series and Larry Lemon Super Series as well as in the RROL NOMAD series in 2019.  Despite the pandemic, the RROL went through with the 2020 season, which KATM was able to complete due to the more localized nature of the NOMAD schedule.  Melanie Menendez drove the Super Series car while Frank Azzaretto, who has been part of the FAC/KAT system throughout the 2010's, took the NOMAD team to a runner-up points finish and the Knockout Cup in 2019.  It was widely believed that KAT's plans before the pandemic were to have Azzaretto replace Malone in the FARC Lowe Dollar Series in 2020 due to his success in NOMAD.

Family behind Midwest home improvement chain to start FARC effort

The Mertens clan is no stranger to racing, having sponsored the Champ Car effort of Jürgen Behringer back in the early 00’s. Heiress Julia and father John Mertens Jr. will be the ones running the show at the new Team Mertens. Looking to expand from decent late model performances, Julia Mertens will take her team’s experience to the FARC Lacko Breaks Super Series, alongside prospective interests in the Lowe Dollar Series. While some dates have yet to be announced, Mertens will be running a single car full-time in the Super Series with a rotation of drivers.

Mertens, an ameteur racer herself, will pilot the #88 Lycoia, sponsored by her family’s company, for one race at Flat Rock. Her nephew Hunter Ellington, who is spearheading Team Mertens’  ASCC effort, will pilot the car at events paired with the ASCC East Series. Anna Behringer, daughter of the aforementioned Jürgen, will also join the team, although her schedule is TBD.

Also joining the Mertens’ stable is an interesting prospect: Natalie Hummel. The Tennessee native, who raced in three Super Series races in 2019, signed a development contract to race with the team. It is said the former truck driver joined to pursue road course experience in the ASCC West series, announcing later she would also participate in Mertens’ FARC program. She has mentioned wanting to race at her home track in Nashville, leading some to speculate Mertens may run a second car there.

Team Mertens is also looking at attempting a hand-full of Lowe Dollar Series events. A team spokesperson confirmed interest in Mertens’ home-state race at Michigan. Further dates are to be announced, and will depend on the team’s performance elsewhere.

19th March 2020
Ryan Gould Not Going to Champ Car?

Earlier in 2019, it was announced that for 2020 Ryan Gould would be driving full time in the V8 Champ Car Series. However, this will not be the case as his team would be shutting down due to financial troubles.

When asked to comment on this, Ryan said "To be fair, I was joining a team that was seriously underfunded." "The pandemic was just the final nail in the coffin, it's just how the dominoes fall, I guess."

A further question about other teams he had talked to provided no answer.

2nd April 2020
Ryan Gould exits the road to Champ Car

Earlier today, Ryan Gould held a short press conference confirming that he was not looking
for any rides on the ladder to the V8 Champ Car Series.

When asked about his future, Ryan simply said "Probably something with more fenders."

13th April 2020
Ryan Gould - the racing driver, e-racer and now meme of the week

A video clip of Ryan Gould competing in an online all-star late model race has surfaced on the internet.

The video appears to show Ryan Gould getting hit by another car and crashing out of the race.

He then commented "I think a bag of crisps [chips] could drive better than them!". A few seconds later, he gets out a bag of Striders chips
and starts to eat it.

The clip was originally recorded on the 11th of April, and the original twitter post has recorded several hundred thousand likes and retweets.

20th April 2020
Ryan Gould joins Striders' partner program

Earlier today, meme sensation Ryan Gould has been announced as a partner of the Striders brand of potato chips.

It is considered that his meme inadvertently promoted the brand and caused a significant increase in sales. Ryan will be appearing in a few commercials for the brand.

1st May 2020
Ryan Gould to FARC?

Rumours have been flying around that Ryan Gould is in talks with several teams to secure a ride in a series of FARC. However, nothing has come of them yet.

15th July 2020
Rackham Motorsports to FARC Super Series in 2021

After competing in local grassroots short racing, Rackham Motorsports founder Jacob Rackham of New York City announced that his team would expand to the FARC Super Series with one or two full time cars.

When asked who would drive these cars, Jacob stated that his son Burt had been signed to the #94 car full time. He was also open to entering a second #91 car if a driver can be found; if not, he will not enter that car.

Jacob also announced that he'd be making a few starts in the Super Series himself, driving his rather iconic #949 car with which he won a few track championships.

In terms of sponsors Mortenson Spare Parts will step up to the mark.

17th July 2020
Rackham Motorsports Announces their 2nd driver in the Super Series... and more!

In an unexpected press conference, Rackham Motorsports announced that their 2nd driver for the 2021 FARC Super Series would be British driver Ryan Gould. Gould will bring along his Striders sponsorship to the #91 car, which should help the team hit the ground running in FARC.

A further announcement was to be made concerning the Lowe Dollar Series.
Jacob announced that the team had acquired a few assets from a now closed LDS team and are planning to run a partial schedule, with Gould in the #91 Tonare with his Striders sponsorship.

Gould intends to run the first race of the season, the last race, all road courses and maybe a few other starts if possible.

(Later post(s) will be made concerning the #413 SS car and #25, #52 and #26 TA cars.)

15th January 2021

Nolan Inoue to make one attempt at a race in the FARC Lacko Brakes Super Series.

Canadian Nolan Inoue is making one start with his uncle Zack Townsend's racing team. They will be racing in the race easiest to reach from their home town of Hamilton in Ontario. Inoue will be using the #413 as he stated "I was really lazy and just rewrote my birthday, but I hate the number 43"

However, the team is yet to declare a manufacturer. It is rumoured that he will use a Saar.

18th January 2021

Jensen Lukeson to start new FARC Bummin Beaver Brewery Tornado Alley Tour team.

Jensen Lukeson announced that he had in a mutual agreement bought out the assets of Lewis Family Racing and Cook + Daughters with their owners' consent to sign their two local late model drivers to a new team, Fortune Motorsports. Obviously, their two drivers will be Cody Lewis and Caitlin Cook, the previous drivers of the teams. The team will be running Saars and the numbers 52 and 25.

The Cook and Lewis families were chosen as they already got along with each other well, and it is reported that the original teams' owners still have a stake in the team.

Lewis will be carrying sponsorship from Basscadet records, after publicly saying that he "really liked" the music under the label.
However Cook is yet to secure any sponsors, but there are some far flung rumours that Lynxe's attention may turn to her.

3rd Feb 2021

Ex-power boat racer Gordon Tanner to go late model racing???

In a turn of events that came out of "the leftest field to have ever lefted", as one of our reporters put it, Gordon Tanner announced he would be joining the FARC Bummin Beaver Brewery Tornado Alley Tour.

He will be bringing back the #26 and DentonCars, both of which featured prominently on his four-time championship winning Hydroplane League boat. DentonCars will be bankrolling the team. He will be attempting 5 races in Inglesbys, ones not too far from his team base in Waterloo, Iowa.

SWH Racing announce drivers for #777 machine

SWH Racing today announced that the #777 car will be driven by three different drivers over the course of the 2021 season.

Kurt Walker has already driven the car at Remembrance Field this past weekend. Walker may also drive in another couple of selected events such as the Texas World round later in the season.

Max Holifield will contest his home state events at Sayre Speedway and Talladega, along with the Roswell round. Scott Wheeler will take over the car for the road course races at Nelson Ledges, Road America and the Milwaukee Mile.
