Jeremy Mayfield Arrested on Meth Charges

Mayfield arrested on meth charges: Authorities say NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield was arrested Tuesday night on drug charges. Mayfield was arrested in his home in the town of Catawba on possession of methamphetamine charges, according to the Catawba County Sheriff's Office. Deputies had gone to Mayfield's home to execute a search warrant on a tip there were stolen goods in the house. During the search, deputies found the methamphetamine. They also found items that may be stolen but deputies have not verified the items taken are in fact stolen property. Mayfield has a scheduled court appearance Wednesday morning. NASCAR is so disgusting, they can't get anything right. He clearly wasn't USING meth, he was DEALING it. Some people...

i've always been sort of unsure who to believe in this whole fiasco, because mayfield wasnt exactly doped out of his mind at the track, and nascar has been pretty secretive about the results of his tests. it's really hard to tell who to believe. even in this case, speedtv.com's article on it says

“Upon the search of property, a small amount of methamphetamine, or what we believe to be methamphetamine, was seized and he was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine”

so does that mean he had meth or did they arrest him for having some funny looking harmless substance?

even with that, though, i am more inclined to believe nascar's side now, since i wouldn't expect a properly trained police force to falsely arrest someone on something as serious as meth charges

First time, I refused to believe it. NASCAR being so damn shifty didn't help much either along with the fact that they're aren't many coked up people who actually know how to fight a court case. This however, might have just made me lose all respect. He's been trying to fight that all this time and then he does this. Way to help your case, moron

Meth.....not even once.

Mayfield never clearly stated himself that he wasn't dealing meth, he just claimed that he wasn't taking it which I would believe is still true. People who use meth even once or twice experience a significant amount of aging and health problems that would be noticeable to anyone, and Mayfield still in 2011 doesn't have any symptoms of using it. He failed his NASCAR drug test back in 2009 because he was taking adderall. If you know what adderall is, you would know that it's basically a controlled dosage of methamphetamine. NASCAR didn't want to accept the fact that they were wrong about the situation so they booted him anyway to make an example out of him. I think it would be rather comical if Mayfield coincidentally started selling meth after he was booted from NASCAR because he didn't have another source of income, which would be the complete opposite of what NASCAR was trying to prevent in the first place.

There goes the rest of his life. Good luck finding a good job, moron.

TMZ reports that in addition to finding methamphetamine at ex-NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield’s home, police have also seized roughly 40 firearms from his North Carolina house.

Catawba County Sheriff’s office Joel Fish tells TMZ most of the guns were rifles and shotguns with a few handguns.

The police were initially called to search Mayfield’s home after a tip suggested there was stolen property stored there. Reports claim there was stolen merchandise in the home including sound equipment and Red Bull Racing gear.

After the police raid, Mayfield was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine. This is not Mayfield’s first incident with illegal substances. His narcotic use in 2009 had him suspended by NASCAR.

So according to Jayski Mayfield purchased and consumed meth "over 500 times" according to a "confidential source." Out of curiosity, could this "confidential source" be the same witch that was trying to land him in jail the first time? Sounds a lot like what she said back in 2009, and her claims still sound just as stupid as ever. If Mayfield consumed meth "over 500 times" like this report claims, it would be noticeable.

Apparently Mayfield had tax problems too. According to tax officials, he owed $82,000 in back taxes on his properties.

They found 6 baggies of meth, 69 guns and $100,000 of stolen goods during the raid last week.
