- Post-race Press Release:
Silas White captures runner-up finish in FARC debut
Silas White was nothing short of elated when he climbed from his car after a brilliant performance in the first race of Friday night's double header at Elko Speedway. In White's first outing of the season, he charged from mid-field at the start of the race to finish second at the checkered flag.
He was smiling so hard at first that he was almost without words. "I can't even believe it. I mean, I was pretty confident that we would be able to hang in the top half of the field, but to get a second place finish in our first start is pretty darn cool," White said. "We definitely were out here to prove ourselves tonight, and I'm just so happy and thankful that we could come away with a solid run and something to show for it."
When asked about the incident coming to the white flag, White laughed. "Yeah, I got a little bit too eager at the end and tore the right side off, but we were so close to the end there that it didn't really hurt us. So I'll try not to do that next time for sure. We only have this one car right now so I need to keep it in good shape for the other races we want to try. It's definitely not broken beyond our budget and we're gonna have plenty of time to fix it up. All in all I'm super proud of this effort, and I think we're sure gonna have fun in a few months at Milwaukee."
White's team plans to return to the track on August 13, when the series visits the Milwaukee Mile for the Smash Beer One for the Road 100.

Re: (LDS) Races 7 & 8: Elko & Duluth
- Collteir returns to the track; highs and lows:
In the 2 FARC Lowe Dollar Series races ran in the Gopher State, Aaron Collteir had a mix of emotions. A 4th place from a 9th place starting spot had the Hicks and Briscoe Racing driver pleased; however, at the road course at Duluth, Collteir was expected to struggle, and he did, finishing 25th and being involved in an incident with Todd Stater.
"I think the Elko race proved this team is a force on the short tracks", Collteir said, "and luckily we're only running the Road America race in addition to Duluth. I'm not experienced in road racing, and today showed the learning curve. Want to say sorry to Todd (Stater) for what happened, I was frustrated and just flat ran him over. At this point I'm just going to get ready for 70/77 in a few weeks and thank God I'm not on my roof again!"

- Master Sport Racing @ Elko & Duluth:
- MSR Far better with Lake at the wheel
After the #53 car was essentially stripped of its sponsors and kicked for the rest of the season, the #26, and much much faster car of Alexa Lake would be schedule swapped with the #53. After a brilliant second showing at Texas World with a sixth place finish, non-fans noticed some of her skill.
Right after the results of race 5, Alexa Lake was deemed in replacement for the #53 car in her self-proclaimed 'famous scheme,' of which, she uses in nearly every series she has partaken in in some form; Binco.
Shortly after the swap, Alexa Lake would begin to turn heads as she qualified yet again,
relatively well for Nightvale. However, after a very short amount of track time, her engine in her Calton-Morel Nova would give way, and she would be the first person out.
Visibly upset, thereafter from being 'kidnapped' by those mysterious hooded figures,
she wanted to have a better finish the next race, which would be Elko.
Qualifying brought some light to Lake. She would qualify well in the second of the double header at Elko. It was apparent rather quickly come race day that Lake had verily amounts of horses under her hood. She ran quick and fast all day long, eventually coming to the close in third place.
Duluth brought some worries to Lake and her crew as she would ironically, qualify 26th, her car number. A bit discouraged, Lake went into the race with the motive of 'stay clean and collect points.' Unsurprisingly to say the least, was not the case. With help of several cautions plus a surprise quality with her Nova, she quickly advanced through the field and would end up in fifth place, also gaining the 'hard charger' title for this race, adding 76 points to her efforts at catching up.
Alexa Lake is continuing to prove herself and will be back next race weekend!

Rick Forest Racing upset after Elko and Duluth
Coming to his home state, everything seemed to shape up for owner/driver Rick Forest. But a top 3 run was foiled by a young rookie after Silas White over drove turn 4 and damaged the front end of Forests car, and with the points lead on the line, Rick was notably not happy at the prospects of a top 3 finish and well needed points day going down the gutter, in front of his home crowd nonetheless.
After a disappointing 6th place finish, Rick had a poor qualifying effort at Duluth, racking up his worst start of the year. But the good news was that at least he qualified, despite his car not being able to muster anything more than 17th. Despite driving like a wild lion in rage, Rick could not hold off his rivals, and only finished 12th.
Rick Forest said afterwards "These past few weeks have been a crapshoot, and a good points day wasted by an overaggressive rookie. We need to bounce back at Mosport if we want to stay in the title fight."

Ruiz calmed down, still fired up for next race
A few weeks after that race that will never be named, Timothy Ruiz have since calmed down but still have that fire in his soul. Timothy have been racing on their test track every day for the last few weeks. It became apparent that since his "loss" to his brother, Timothy have just transformed to be ultra competitive. Linda Paul, Timothy Girlfriend and a mute, used sign language to say that "Timothy have been taking testing very seriously and that he has a pic of his brother with the word "DESTROY"". Timothy's father, Rex, backed up Paul's claim. "Timothy have been go through cars like they were butter, all to crush his older brother."
Xavier knew about this, going to claim "He'll win their next meeting." When asked that he practice, he said he doesn't need to practice, he's amazing. Both of the Ruiz Bros won't meet up till Race 16, so expect Timothy to race hard as he can...and maybe some new engines for him.
