NASCAR at The Last Great Colosseum
Cup entries: http://www.jayski.com/stats/2017/pdfs/08bms2017entry.pdf
NXS entries: http://www.jayski.com/nxs/2017/pdfs/nxs-07bms2017entrylist.pdf
With the Easter weekend behind us it's time to take on the high-banked concrete half-mile known as Bristol Motor Speedway.
There's a big announcement scheduled for Wednesday re: Matt Kenseth. Speculation's rampant that he's going to announce his retirement, but who knows?

Kenseth's announcement is most likely Dewalt scheme, because the entry list had him as TBA, but the dewalt website has the sponsor on the car this week.

Where is any news on the announcement? (Meaning, where or who reported there was going to be an announcement about him?)

Rain is the the forecast for the entire weekend. Did Bristol break up with Mother Nature or something?

Re: NASCAR at The Last Great Colosseum
Bubba Wallace finished 33rd. Why does this matter? Because in each race this season he's either finished 6th or - wait for it - 33rd.

Well I was thoroughly entertained. Good on Jimmie, Larson and Truex pull the rare double-choke, and Bowyer continues his awesome year.

Yes, because the race winner ultimately determines what makes a race good.
(I'll be honest, I didn't think heat against Jimmie Johnson still existed in 2017.)

The NASCAR reddit had their panties in a knot.

Not ultimately, but it can change the mood depending on who it is, and what someone's personal preference is.
Also, before anyone says that hating Jimmie Johnson is silly, remember that you all have drivers that you either cheer for or root against, especially if you don't like a particular driver, so in that sense, you're not exactly in a position to be judging someone's personal preference when you do it yourself. Doesn't matter what the reason is.
And yes, there are still people who don't like Jimmie Johnson. I'm not one of them anymore, but it still exists.

Re: NASCAR at The Last Great Colosseum
The race was probably the best of the year so far (up with Daytona and Martinsville). Hopefully the stage system makes Richmond suck slightly less.

If it was 2009 I would agree with you.
I'm honestly with Contey on this one. The hate Jimmie Johnson gets surprises me.
