Question: Will it be possible to do double-duty in AmeriCar and the FARC Elite Series?
Also, if you want to ship some races my way to do videos on, I'd be happy to lend a hand.

Nick Pericles to Attempt FARC Debut
Pericles is an unknown name, although he is a great road racer, and an outstanding intermediate driver. Nick is a two time Greek Cup Intermediate Division champion, and a one time Greek Cup Road Course Champion. Pericles is a Greek-American Driver that was born in South Florida; he has been looking for a shot at FARC for a while now.
"I'm really looking forward to driving in FARC. For now I don't know which division I will run, but I'm hoping a team picks me up." Pericles publicly stated. Pericles was reportedly trying to create a team to run in FARC but his hopes were shot down after the roster filled up. For now Pericles is a little content with sitting on the sidelines, but not for long.

AmeriCar driver Mason Yokoyama announced that he will run a technical alliance with another team to run the races that Yokoyama will not be running, in order to concentrate on AmeriCar. Re: 2016 FARC Silly Season & Team Chart
New team possibly joining FARC in 2016
Kenny George III, third-generation late model driver from southern Florida is looking to join the FARC Smash Beer/Lowe Dollar Series, from what has been heard from him and partially credible sources, George has struck a deal with now the now defunct Macena Motorsports operation, which has folded following 2015, as Gabriel Macena decided to run in the Dash Cup Super Stock Series.
The deal apparently involves the acquisition of at least 50% of the Macena Motorsports fleet, as it has been heard that the other half of the cars will be used by other teams and drivers.
From what has been heard, George III will drive the car in a possible full-time effort, while the team may enter a second car in select events if their full-time bid is accepted by the officials.
Trueman Ellison looking for a longer schedule in 2016
After running a 4-race schedule in the FARC Smash Beer/Lowe Dollar Series, Trueman Ellison announced through his facebook page that the team is going under a expansion, as he has acquired two cars and three engines from Macena Motorsports and one car from Super Series team Glanville Enterprises.
More deatils are yet to be unveiled, but it is expected that Ellison runs at least 6 races in 2016.
Macena Motorsports defunct, Ashcroft Family Racing possibly joining
As the Macena Motorsports operation ceases its existence in FARC, racking up a total of three wins and multiple cars totaled, a new team may be joining the FARC garage as multiple time American Professional Racing Series (now named Professional Auto Racing Tour) team Ashcroft Family Racing may be joining the series for a part-time bid.
The team has won a total of nine championships on the PART ranks and its relation to the Macena Motorsports operation is quite close as both families third generation drivers, Gabriel Macena and julia Ashcroft have been married since 2011. Aside from that connection, the AFR engine department supplied engines to Macena Motorsports in FARC since the start of the FARC operation in 2014.
It is expected that team runs the #99 or #9A if the #9 is not available. The team is also expected to run a part-time schedule only.

AJA Racing looking to make an impact
After a decent campaign, veteran driver Trey Ashby is looking to make a return to hopefully a Full-time schedule in 2016. Having bounced around between part-time and full-time, Ashby has found a stable home with Jinx Rodriguez and the AJA team, formerly Nitro Racing and Jinx Incorporated. If possible, the AJA team is hoping to get in a second slot for the Elite Series.
(OOC: Ok, since I didn't know if Elite series was coming back I put my namesake in FARC, any chance he can still come back to the Elite Series? Same for Jinx)

Probably not. If they are going to be, then I'll have little to no involvement in them.NeverNeutral wrote:Are the other Series being run?
I'll probably do a few companion races between FARC and AmeriCar, but other than that, I'll ask you to refrain from trying. With the mass exodus to Dash Cup and AmeriCar, this will be a good opportunity to shake up the grid.PackerMan71 wrote:Question: Will it be possible to do double-duty in AmeriCar and the FARC Elite Series?

Desert Star Autosport looking to return, could bring in Tucker?
Desert Star Autosport, who have proven themselves as an established team in the FARC paddock, are looking to return to the FARC grid for the 2016 season. The team ran the 2015 season with Bradley Carlisle behind the wheel, winning the Rookie Shootout. However, the team could now look to put multiple race winner and TM Lights race winner Ashley Tucker in a full-time car for the 2016 season. The team also want to resign Bradley Carlisle, but may not be able to fund a full-time effort for the 3 time Truck winner.
Tucker, a Rookie Shootout and 4 time race winner in the FARC Elite Series, has not been full time in the series since 2013. She was schedule to be full time in 2014, but was forced to miss several races after a huge crash at New York seen her injured.
The team have also won the FARC LoBo Truck Tour championship once, in 2013, with Tammy Barnton, who went on to win races with both HQS Racing and Tom Delgado Racing.
Tammy Barnton looking for return to series in 2016
2014 Rookie Shootout and Smash Beer 500 winner Tammy Barnton has expressed an interest in returning to the series, either with Tom Delgado Racing, her current team, or a new team, in 2016. Barnton, the 2013 FARC Truck Tour champion, has registered two wins in the series, most recently, a sprint race at the Tulso Expo Centre.
"I'm enjoying my racing now, and I definitely don't want to stop what I've got going." said Barnton, "I feel like I can be a serious title contender with the right equipment, and I feel confident enough that I have the ability to win races. It's just a matter of getting a deal sorted."

Tony Long Part Time 2016?
17 year old Tony Long is looking at a possibility of doing a part time ride for FARC either during the Aspira Juniors series or after the season.
His main goal at this time is worrying about his ride for Aspira Juniors but he is keeping an open mind.
Tony noted, "there are few chances to get what you want in this world. If a part time ride comes up, I will take my time to evaluate each option that is presented to me. I have a lot to prove and I am ready to show what I can do."
When asked what he prefers ride wise, he stated "Aspira Juniors will be first, it is what I am focused on."

TIM resign Zack Webster to the 41 with Supercharged Energy.
The team resigned an ecstatic Zack Webster to return for the 2016 season. Their response to why they did it was: "If it isn't broken, don't fix it." It seems that the team is doing wonders with Webster behind the wheel. The team hopes to retain the number 41 for Webster as well.
Driver and sponsor additions revealed by TIM.
Kelly Splison and Kira Smith were both tapped to potential rides for the 2016 season. Kira, who would be the first rookie the team has had in some time, would be sponsored by Cluckin' Bell Restaurants. She hopes to use the number 89. Kelly Splison, a regular with the team, would be coming in with Sticky Hooves Glue. She hopes to nab the number 96.

PACKER AND LIGHTENER MOVE TO AMERICAR, SERIES VETERAN GOTT AND UP AND COMING DRIVER QUACKENBUSH TO FILL SPOTS
With team owner Packer Carroll and longtime GRI driver Isaac Lightener joining him in the AmeriCar Road Racing Championship in 2016, Gravity Racing, Inc. needed to fill the vacant seats. Fortunately, it didn't take long for the voids to be filled.
Series veteran Zach Gott, who had been racing in the NPCC and BAAR the last several years, will be promoted back up to the FARC Elite Series, driving the #71 Buckeye Latinum Foundries Isanni.
As the for the other seat, it will be occupied by Zidane Quackenbush, younger brother of former ISCA World Champion and TM Lights driver John Quackenbush. Zidane, who turns 17 in April, raced in late models the past several seasons in Canada. 2016 will mark his rookie season in FARC. Number and sponsor are TBD, although Zidane has expressed interest in running his brother's old number, 28.

Re: 2016 FARC Silly Season & Team Chart
Wesley Family Racing Looks to Return
After taking the 2015 season off due to financial issues relating to the introduction of the Cromwell ST15, Wesley Family Racing reportedly is making a renewed commitment to FARC. The team had planned to dedicate its resources to the FARC Truck Tour, but following the division's shutdown was relegated to one-off appearances in the Elite Series, as well as local racing in the Manassas, Virginia area.
It is believed the team will most likely focus on the Super Series, while making select appearances in the Elite Series. Neil Miller and his family sponsorship are expected to return.
Stanley Parsons' Future Uncertain
Super Series frontrunner Stanley Parsons has scored a number of victories in his first two years in FARC, but he is reportedly uncertain of his 2016 plans. Kevin Norton Racing sponsor OctoSoft has yet to commit to the 427 team for a third season, leaving the team searching for other options. Parsons has reportedly shown interest in joining a separate team for select races in the Elite Series if the opportunity arises.
Malone Eyes Elite Series Bid
Los Angeles businessman and owner-driver Mike "Knuckles" Malone is the latest Super Series frontrunner looking to move to the Elite Series. The two-time race winner, despite a slightly disappointing sophomore season, feels he is ready for the next level of competition in FARC. However, Malone has yet to commit to a complete schedule, and has indicated that the Knuckles' Sandwiches restaurant remains his priority.
Malone has reportedly been contacting teams in the Elite Series with offers of his driving and financial services, perhaps looking to wind down his self-owned team.
Singer: Top Ride or Bust; Brother to Debut?
After sending out a fiery Twitter message lambasting the FARC organization and its competitors, Aaron Singer may be departing the Elite Series. The heir to the Lou Singer Hotels and Casinos chain has struggled to find speed in the Elite Series, first with Wesley Family Racing, and then with a full-time effort in 2015, headed by his father. Lou Singer himself has reportedly been displeased witt
Singer's future is unclear. He is rumored to have attempted to contact a number of top Elite Series teams for a seat, despite his vulgar criticism of them in his tweet. Others report that he may bring his funding to TM Lights or the struggling American Stock Car Championship. Singer's message seemed to indicate that his racing career was through, but sources believe that there is still a slight possibility he may change his mind.
Aaron is not the only Singer with racing interests, however. His younger brother, Lou Singer Jr., is believed to be making his first FARC attempt at the Lone Star Championships, and Lou Singer, Sr. has indicated he will support him, regardless of Aaron's future.

Big Mac Racing Hopes to Return to FARC
Big Mac Racing, a veteran FARC team, hopes to return to full time FARC competition in this next season. While most of the crew and crew chief plan to return, the team will not return with two-time FARC race winner Makoto Yamada, who left to drive for the Dash Cup Championship. Reportedly, the team is in early talks with former driver Monica Rook, who won two short track races in FARC two years ago. She brings sponsorship from her father's business Rook Construction. The manufacturer the team would use is unconfirmed at the time.

Ike Durbin, Inc. has been slowly increasing its involvement in what is now known as FARC since 2012. In 2015, the team ran full-time with Ryan Griffin while Geo Arias, Casey Lester, and Patrick Johaansen drove for the team in the secondary division, the FARC Super Series.
In 2016, it appears that significant changes will occur not only with the driver lineup, but within the team as well. While Durbin will continue to hold ownership and involvement in the team, it has been confirmed that Durbin has sold a portion of his share in the team to a currently un-named source, so that each party holds a 50% stake. It's currently unknown how this will change the operations in the team.
For 2016, the team supposedly wants to run at least two full-time cars, should sponsorship materialize. Drivers are completely up in the air, but it's very possible that Geo Arias could move up, bringing HoodCorp. Archery with him. There have been no announcements of any other possible driver.

Peak Williamson to return with major changes
Peak Williamson Race Tech will return to the FARC field in 2015, however they will compete under a new name - SWH Racing. Jay Holifield has bought into the team, joining Edward Summers and Rex Williamson as owners.
Danica Holifield will remain with the team in the #26 Lenard. It is understood that Johnson Clapp is currently off-contract, although team sources tell us that it is expected that he will be offered a new deal.
The Super Series driver lineup is far from confirmed. Clapp will not be competing as he was only cover for Casey Lester after his accident and Scott Wheeler has not really impressed in his debut season.

Tom Delgado Racing to Downsize by One
Tom Delgado Racing announced that they would be returning to FARC for the 2016 season, and would be downsizing by one car after the retirement of Tom Delgado.
"We have no contracts lined up at this time, but we'd be happy to have our lineup from 2015 return." TDR acting team principal Erik Stenstrom said in a brief interview. Stenstrom is acting as team principal as team owner Tom Delgado is cutting his appearances entirely due to his ongoing cancer battle.

Guess who's back, back again
Not Scott Morales, he's dead.
Leckliter Racing on the other hand, isn't dead and will be returning in 2016, with Daniel and Robert both rumored to be in full time rides.

Griffin will not return to FARC in 2016; leaves IDI crew with emotional speech
Ryan Griffin has spent the last 3 years trying to rebuild a racing career. Griffin was stripped of his TM Lights license after causing a crash at the New York Autoring in 2012. In the 3 years since, the Michigan native has spent his time in the FARC Elite Series running for the team owned by his former Lights teammate, Ike Durbin.
Griffin draw the irk of then driver Lucy Barnton in 2013 after the Elite Series race at Mosport for causing a late yellow that setup a GWC finish that caused Barnton a possible victory. However, for Griffin, the most rewarding event in his return was earning his first Elite Series win @ the Karl's Superstore event in Irwindale in 2014.
This afternoon however Griffin made a tough decision. He announced that he is leaving the team and series that in essence rebuilt his career.
His statement was as follows:
"The last 3 years have been very humbling. What happened in New York was something that will always stay with me and always be a part of my history as bad as it was. Getting the chance to return to FARC was a opportunity I wasn't going to waste. Ike [Durbin] took a chance on me when no one else wanted to. I can't begin to thank him enough.
This organization has the best group of people working for it that I've ever had the pleasure to work with. I'm honored that I was able to win with these guys and gals. I look forward to day when our paths cross again."
Those close to the IDI team and Griffin reportedly said that Griffin called a meeting at the IDI shop to inform the crew of his decision and that he did get choked up talking about what they meant to him.
Griffin will head to the freshly formed Hanmore AmeriCar Series 4-Cylinder class in 2016.

KAT Motorsports hope to continue as it's own entity; no longer affiliated with FAC
Despite failing to qualify for a for a few races in Elite Series in 2015, KAT Motorsports hopes to return in 2016 to have the chance to rebound. However, they will have to do it on their own as they reveled that their parent team, FAC Motorsports, has cut all ties with the team. Before 2015, FAC announced that it would hand over all FARC operations to Kathryn Azure, the wife of FAC owner Frank Azure, in order to allow them to focus on bigger series', thus becoming a separate team but still connected to FAC. But after a lackluster season, FAC ultimately decided that KATM and FARC was a waste of resources and that they want nothing to do with it.
Kathryn Azure has stated that the team will continue as its own entity without FAC's support, but it will see a major decrease in funding. The team will also need to find new drivers as the split has made it extremely obvious that Nick Azure will no longer run in FARC as he is under contract with FAC and Alex Whitt only signed a one year deal. FAC refused to comment on the split.

Focus Autosports to Downsize FARC Efforts in 2016
12 August 2015
Focus Autosports has announced plans to continue their part-time FARC Smash Beer/Lowe Dollar Series effort in the 2016 season.
The Grand Rapids, Michigan-based team entered their first ARLA race - the Mini Indy 500 - in 2012, and have been fielding a Lenard numbered 38 on a limited schedule in FARC's premier division since 2014. The team also made two championship efforts in the FARC LoBo Truck Tour in 2013 and 2014, but following the cancellation of that series, the team chose to repurpose most of their Truck Tour resources to field a full-time car #3 in the FARC Duckroll Super Series beginning in 2015.
Riley Durbin took over the #38 car in the Elite Series from Vincenzo Fochesato this year after Fochesato migrated to Dash Cup, and was also named to drive the #3 car in the Super Series. The year started off on a high note for FAS when Durbin achieved a front row starting position for the Smash Beer 200. However, he would not be cleared to start the event after an accident in the Super Series support race just hours before the 200.
Since then, Durbin’s Super Series campaign has been largely ridden with crashes, although he was not at fault for most of the accidents in which he has been involved. Focus Autosports co-owner Joseph Pittigrove recently made official that the team will allocate all of its FARC resources towards the Smash Beer/Lowe Dollar Series in 2016, and will not continue to field an entry in the Super Series. Riley Durbin will return as the driver, and it is expected that Spinner Rotors will continue to provide primary sponsorship.
Pittigrove also stated that he hopes to add some more races to the schedule of the #38 car. In addition, the team is planning to enter Durbin in a small number of races in a regional American Short Trackers championship, hoping to give him more seat time. Furthermore, he also hinted at the possible return of a the team's full-time entry for the late model track championship at the Berlin Raceway, which has not been fielded since 2013.
It is currently unknown as to which FARC races that the team is hoping to partake in for 2016.

Short Track Team To Join FARC?
Rick Forest, a Short Tracker from Minnesota plans to run up to 10 Duckroll Super Series races with his own team. He will field his car for additional races, mainly for young guns who want to have a chance. Younger brother Ryan Forest expects to run 4 races in a second Rick Forest Racing car. The team expects to be full time in a few years
"This is a great opportunity to show I ain't just your average short track racer" said Rick Forest, who built the team from the ground up in the early 90's.
"I don't now how this will go, but as always I will give 110 percent, even if I send it into the barriers" was his last statement before leaving the area.
Ryan Forest has had a hard time getting a ride due to his constant wrecking, something that is due to his over aggressive approach. Having a record 59 DNF's in 59 Starts, failing to qualify for 28 races due to stuffing the car into the barriers during his qualifying lap, it is no wonder he is reliant on this older brother to get him a ride
The team will have sponsorship from The Power Group engines and transmissions.

I have added a link to the developing team chart.
As for assigning drivers to teams, I'm going to do something similar to what I did a few years ago and have people audition for rides. More information is in the chart.

DHRE moving up?
David Hetzel owner of FARC Super Series Team "David Hetzel Racing Enterprises" has stated he intends to move up to FARC's elite series in 2016. Hetzel has recently joined forces with longtime Miami area Gessler dealer Eric Strombaugher and it looks like the partnership has been fruitful already as Hetzel has already acquired some PART Spec Gessler's and is supposedly poised to purchase some FARC spec one's in the coming weeks.
As for additional information, Hetzel has said there will be one full time car #ed 66 with a river TBA and sponsorship from leading cardboard manufacturer S.A.P-Ling Forest Products and a part time car #ed 67 that will divided up among the 4 DHRE PART drivers and will have funding from "Just-Q" restaurants.

Newcomers Rick Forest Racing have revealed their first two drivers, which are both team owner Rick Forest for about 10 races, and Ryan forest for about 4 races (which due to Ryans reputation we wonder if he will actually finish), Team is looking for rookies, and young guns to pilot the The Power Group Engines and Transmissions car, in extra races.

9th Plan Racing to FARC?
9th Plan Racing is reportedly considering a move into the FARC Elite Series. The company owns a 3-car team in World Challenge Cup and also sponsors Ramsey Coquinner in the Hanmore AmeriCar Road Racing Series. The team is considering running two cars, and are planning to receive inquiries from drivers who currently do not have a ride. This should not come as a surprise, considering it's been the worst kept secret that 9th Plan wants to expand their racing empire, and FARC would be the next logical step into greater brand awareness.

Major News Coming From Wesley Family Racing?
Not long after initial reports that Wesley Family Racing intended to return to the FARC Smash Beer/Lowe Dollar Series, this reporter has received a rumor that the Virginia-based team is in negotiations for a "major free agent signing."
The source indicated that the potential signee was "a driver for a top team who doesn't have a ride for 2016 yet", but declined to give any further details.
The team last competed in the then-Elite Series in 2014, led by midfielder Richard Scott, who has since departed in an attempt to reach the TM Master Cup Series.

If you own the team where the drivers are applying to, just type the driver's name into the confirmed area and delete the rumored name.

UPDATE: More news has been revealed about Ike Durbin, Inc., as the new co-owner of the team has turned out to be Calvin Arias, father of current driver Geo Arias. This likely explains the push for Geo Arias to move up from the Super Series.
As for sponsorship, HoodCorp Archery has agreed to sponsor a portion of the season. In addition, Bloody X Apparel ha re-signed with the team and will adorn the hood as well.
No announcements have been made regarding the team's second car as of yet.

Laser Motorsports Coming to FARC, Signs Ramierez
Canadian sports car team Laser Motorsports officially announced on the FARC message board that they will compete in the Smash Beer-Lowe Dollar Series in 2016, as well as the signing of Mexican racer Osvaldo Ramierez as their first driver. Ramierez has competed in FARC since 2013, including a handful of starts for M&J Racing in the Elite Series.
While team owner Ted Johnson was reportedly hopeful to sign a more well-known driver, including pursuing a number of former race winners, indications are that all turned down due to the unprovenness of the team's equipment.
Johnson did not shed light on these rumors, only stating that the team remains open to negotiations with other free agents, preferably those with past Elite Series experience.

Finnish team to enter FARC?
Rumors are that Tomi Venäläinen, manager of Venäläinen Speedworks, a successful club racing team at Finland, has been planning on entering the international scene for a while, but due to the lack of resources and interest it was left behind after 2013. However, with more resources, a new interest found while seeing many TMMC and FARC races live, and a new opportunity, its looking more and more likely. Is this true? Its only a matter of time, with more and more rumors coming about a possible part-time campaign in FARC Super Series spanning 3-6 rounds, one driver being linked to the team in the form of American driver Riley Corcoran and a sponsor being also linked in the form of tuning shop Palm Motors, we will have to wait and see.
